My name has been "me" online since 1994, when I joined the MUD "Realms of Imagination." Mouseglove was my drow thief, a name dimly remembered from a novel read in my youth (the name of which completely escapes me as usual). It was my name as a player, as a builder when I followed a few staff members to start their own MUD called "Realms of Aurealis," and as the admin of same MUD when the founder called it quits a couple years later. Alas, the MUD "Mouseglove" has since ceased to be, on my MUD I am now called "Aranoxx," but the character of Mouseglove will be with me probably forever. That "character" is etched in my head by hundreds of hours of role-play and fiction-writing.

My current MUD is called "The ReckoningMUD" and can be found at
www.thereckoningmud.org/ if anyone's interested. (Telnet address: thereckoningmud.org 3333)

my sn is taken from a trilogy i read in junior high, The Riddlemaster of Hed/Heir of Sea and Fire/Harpist in the Wind, that ranks right up there with the Covenant Chronicles with me, written by Patricia McKillip ( who also happens to be one of SRD's favorite fantasy authors, i recently discovered). a great trilogy that still holds a very special place in my heart. Peven is an ancient ghost who lives in a tower, bound by a gees, and posesses the ancesteral crown of Hed (land of the trilogy's protagonist, Morgan), and has standing challenge for hundreds of years; whoever beats him in a riddle contest can have the crown, but if they lose they die. a king, Mathom, even ends up declaring only he who wins the challenge can marry his daughter. well, Morgan, who is the newly ascended king of Hed, beats Peven to win the crown, yet tells no one and hides it under his bed. this all happens before the first page of the first book of the series, and is related by Morgan in the first few chapters. meanwhile, Peven is still stuck up in his tower, but now has no crown and no challenge. i always felt bad for poor Peven.

I've been JemCheeta since I don't know... 94 or 93... I can't even remember now where it was from, I think it was based on a fantasy roleplaying name I had for myself. I just identify with it now, it's been so long. Kind of like "What does Phillip mean to you?"

thanks, danlo. i figured it was only fitting to use a cover from the series, considering my sn. i have noticed that Myste uses the cover from "Heir of Sea and Fire" for her avatar. i have to say it is a real trip to finally come in contact with so many people who know and enjoy the Riddlemaster series, after going all these years so rarely coming into contact with anyone who had even heard of them.

My name is nothing special... Drundaar was my first name from an mmorpg called Everquest (I'm a game nerd.... look me up on the tribunal if you play) Rockheart comes from my love of music that is about it (I usually go by the name Raving Madness thought i would use this instead).
