What am I missing???? :!:
I've never understood that either.
I don't see much of a difference in having fun making easy posts...then people posting the same arguments back and forth and back and forth and back and forth (like in the think tank)

The difference is that Mallorys was being flooded with stupid games - we have way too many ABC games there. Most were for post count, not really for fun.

Good post. :)

Ohhhh I didn't realize that people were playing games and not having fun.

Other than being able to put a little blurb in the Mile High Club thread...what's the draw to having a high post count?

I mean I fiind that Mallory's has a few too many games myself; but so what? Who cares if someone has a million posts and they're all in Mallory's
Is it really that offensive to someone who say only posts in the Runes forum? or only posts in the Waymeet, or only the Think tank?

What's the difference, I guess one could say that ALL posts that AREN'T in a SRD related forum are pointless on a SRD related message board.

Especially since the WGD's are gone, I'd say post count means very little.

Yes, and I also did say the forum was flooded with stupid games. I called for a holdback on making too many ABC games.

Relax, drew.

That also sums up my feelings pretty well. I have no problems with people having fun. If you get a kindred mind in Mallory's online at the same time you are and boucne back and forth responses in one of the games it can be a lot of fun. 8) :D

I don't see that any number of ABC games is a problem of any sort if Vain doesn't say it is causing crashes or something. Does it bring down the property values of the forums near it?

I was thinking this earlier today - it really is a forum which has never generated much interested. I think Menolly and I have placed the most recent posts in there.

I agree with this, actually. I don't really see what is gained, as I have said before, by a proliferation of subforums.

I like the idea of having to more populare subforums nearer the top.

I think we should rename the Collective: Either, The Hegemony, or Mind/Union. Similar idea, but SRD-relevant.
