It's only a cold, so I'm sure I'll be okay soon enough.
It could have timed itself a bit better, though; I now have to take my driving test with a headache and sniffling all the way.

That sucks. In winter, the UK is no place to be. Probably won't make you feel better to know that it's 33°C outside here where I am.
Good luck for the test.

And it's supposed to be the coldest winter we've had in years, too.

We're finally going to get enough rain this year, and build up a snow pack. We've had near-droughts the last two years.

Watch out, pedestrians of England

Does that mean you passed?
Having a weird day. The little snow storm, followed by the windstorm, knocked out the power. My poor husband was out in the snow today trying to grill the turkey breast.

The power came back on just as the turkey got done, so at least we could use the kitchen, and were able to make some side dishes.
At least I'll be able to take a shower when I get home from work.

We have a well with an electric pump so when the power goes out, we don't have water.

In other words: If you don't like the way I drive, then stay off the sidewalks!

Everyone seems to have a cold at the moment.
It's probably bird flu.

My cold came on suddenly and violently this morning. In less than a day I'm down from perfect health to considering the benefits of hanging a small bowl below my left nostril, to keep my lecture notes/keyboard/books dry.
