Today I took the carcasses from several birds I had roasted and frozen over the past couple of months and made a big old pot of Jewish Penicillin. Hyperception has lifted his low carbing for now, so I put elbows, carrots,
and matzah balls in the soup tonight. Plenty left for dinner tomorrow, then I'll strain it again and reduce it for stock purposes.
I love planned overs that keep on giving.

I don't quite understand...I think you're trying to tell me that there's no such thing as too much garlic. But when you have acid reflux issues, there is. Especially when the alfredo sauce is tasteless, and there's nothing to balance the taste so you basically get a huge mouthful of garlic. I like garlic okay, but there's only so much of it I can take.
But the midnight snack of a Taco Bell chicken quesadilla and Cinnamon Twists was delicious!

I was. And I still believe it to be the case.

However, I can see acid reflux being an issue. One I would hate to have myself. {{{hugs}}} But I would have no issue with a mouthful of garlic, myself.

I have certain issues with Taco Bell, but will say for the price the food is decent!

Hmm, which one of my kids was it that tried that experiment with the whole clove of garlic...?
The idea was to chew and swallow a raw garlic clove. Whoever it was, her breath smelled like garlic for about a week! Stunk up the car a couple of days after, as I recall....

There's definitely such a thing as too much garlic. A little flavour among other flavours is fine. But just a load of garlic? Ugh. Makes me gag.
I ate steak. Or rather, several thin steaks. I don't like waiting for things to cook, and I thought the thin steaks would cook faster. Plus they were actually a little cheaper for the weight than a steak of normal thickness, even though it's the same meat.

I must have accidentally dropped a peeled garlic clove once and Moose got his mouth on it and played with it and chewed it and who knows what else but his dog farts and dog breath were atrocious, eyewatering, nauseating and vile for just over a week. The dog farts were also prolific.

Poor Moose! And more to the point, poor Jenn!

Oh no, I distinctly recall that trip in the car. It was at *least* a day later....

The trick to eating whole garlic cloves, is to make sure that anyone you're spending time with, does too!

I'm with you, Stonemaybe. I have experienced the garlic-stink radius a few times, but damn is it worth it.

I had a funny dinner tonight. I was preparing fish n chips for me and gf, but wandering in and out watching professional masterchef on telly too, and I sortof picked up on the importance of presentation from masterchef, so (if I say so myself), my f n c was the most beautiful creation ever! The sliced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and pickled onions (on the side) were laid out artistically to complement the golden battered haddock, and the grated extra mature cheddar over the chips (that's fries to you USers, even though they were oven cooked) symbolised my gold medal for presentation and taste.
Mmmmmmmmm

It
was very nice!
Hopefully going out to a new-ish Indian tonight for a curry. I'm intrigued by the lemon rice I hear they sell (amongst a rice menu 20 or items long).

You guys who make fantastic meals with gorgeous presentation have got to follow Jenn's lead, and start posting pictures of them. That sounds awesome, Stone!

Absolutely. I was
highly dissappointed last summer when I finally got to visit London but was unable to try some proper f & c. i had really been looking forward to it.

Tough steak. Disappointing. It didn't seem like it was going to be tough.

popcorn chicken with barbecue and honey mustard sauce. And an ice cream cone for dessert.
