Though I may be the only one who feels this way, and it's along a similar line as the previous argument about game chatter (BUT DON'T BRING IT BACK.) If possible, could we refrain from quoting portions of a story, and then responding to it like dialog? It throws off the gamey feeling for me. I like keeping the stories as just what they are. The character who posted isn't talking to anyone and it really throws me off when someone responds to it in the game thread like they are.

But if it's just me, I'll bow my head to majority and just deal with it.

I agree with that sentiment, although I don't recall it happening (as in IC responses in this thread to IC bits from another thread). No need to point out to me where it was done, however, I'm simply agreeing in principle with your idea.

Like, if someone wrote a story post, without making any reference of the god talking to other gods, and then a god replies.

recent example, uKalWas posts about his warriors and o Gon Cho replying about war

I agree with that, although it would be natural for OGC to talk about war, given her neighbour, in any case.

I loved that uKulwa post about the banning of sandals. That was great fun to read.

Those two posts, about the training of the impi's are, with minor tweaks, taken from historical, first-person accounts of the training of Shaka's armies. They are, in essence, true stories, down to the speech given by the Prophet.

As for impalement, it was traditionally the punishment meted out only for those guilty of practicing witchcraft. The most common form of execution was usually a quick and merciful blow to the head with an iron-wood club.

Glad you liked them. From now on, the stories will be much more fictionalised. The next one, (which will be posted only after turn results), is wholly imaginary. I just wanted that culture as a basis for my people, a foundation for their outlook, attitudes and practices.

True. I was really referencing the '80s Harmony Gold Mini-Series about Shaka Zulu, which had impalements as the order of the day. Shaka's tactical innovation of not throwing enemy spears back was also a great moment.

It's only been done a few times thus far, but it's more the idea I want to set precedence for, more than anything.

Yup, Armplax in particular. He reveals himself to his prophet then everyones welcoming him to the pantheon, yet, as far as the story goes, he was yet to make himself known to other gods.

Im not saying dont do it, just that it seems a tad odd. I only noticed cause in story terms, other gods are not aware of the void. So if anyone responds to one of my posts as such, I shall ignore it

I apologize for lifting a quote out of a story post and commenting on it. It was in response to behind the scenes talk between cho and uKulwa. But I recognise others have no idea about that.

I've always looked at Revelations as something the other deities can witness from our realm. We all see major events throughout the game, regardless of where on Eiran it takes place, and the Revelations are in this group. We're all just looking down, seeing what's up, and suddenly there's a flash of divine energy, and we wave and say Hi.
