When Artagel faints due to inhaling the noxious smoke of burned-up giant cockroaches, Terisa and Geraden bring Havelock to examine him. Havelock sees Artagel is alive and unconscious, but won't treat Artagel where they find him lying. Why not?

Because they're in a place which is shown in somebody else's mirror?

That sounds about right to me, Avatar!! I'll check the text I bookmarked in one of my copies of The Mirror Of Her Dreams to be certain:
Artagel's face was mottled with exertion and pain, and his eyes gaped at the ceiling as though he had gone blind. But he was breathing.

Her relief was so acute that her eyes spilled tears.

Stooping to Geraden, Adept Havelock tapped him crisply on the shoulder. "Come along, Geraden. Carry him if you have to. I don't like staying this close to that translation point. Who knows how many more surprises Vagel has for us? I'll take you somewhere safe."

Geraden hugged his brother harder and didn't move. Terisa couldn't tell whether he had heard the Adept.

As if he were making a concession, the old Imager said, "I have some wine. I think it'll help him." Then he lost patience. "Horror and ballocks, boy! If you're attacked again, I might not be able to save you!"
Because they're in a place which is shown in somebody else's mirror?

I don't like staying this close to that translation point.

They ARE pretty close to such a place--and considering the horrors that could emerge from thin air there, I dont blame Havelock for wanting to get away from there, before doing anything else! 8O 8O 8O 8O

It's your question, Avatar! Congratulations on nailing it!!

Actually I unintentionally deprived us of being blessed with one of your clever clues, Sanity! Now we'll have no idea what sort of sentence you would have created to provide a clue about that last question! :!: But of course, Avatar will have another question for us soon, giving you yet another opportunity to dazzle us with your gift of hiding the truth in plain sight! :3M: 8)

Ok...here we go...

The very first time Terisa changes the image in a mirror, what did that mirror originally show?

It seems to me that there are three different directions I could go with my answer... :)

Yes, but you are close to courting danger by doing so. There could be much wailing and gnashing of teeth...

The Mordant's Need Trivia Game (Spoilers!!!)

 Okay, here goes: that mirror, a flat glass, showed the crossroads outside of Orison, with roads going to either Armigite, Perdon, or Tor. Sanity's clue about the gnashing of teeth was good, as those rapacious dot-creatures are seen dropping down on the Perdon's men right after the mirror shifts back to its original image. :evilfoul:

Correct. It originally showed the cross-roads outside Orison before Terisa changed it to an image of the Fist.

Appreciate that, Avatar!

My new question: When Prince Kragen asks Artagel who has more to gain from an alliance, Mordant or Alend, Artagel answers that the Prince (Alend) has more to gain.

What reason does Artagel give for his answer?

No, that's not the advantage Artagel said. It's a matter of something that Mordant has to offer in an alliance that Alend does not have.
