Yea, that implies the Ravers were incarnated from malice/whatever and sprang fully-formed into being, doesn't it?

But they've been referred to as sons of one mother...but then, as Wayfriend implies, nothing says it had to be a human woman who was their mother.

Perhaps the Sarangrave itself was the mother that was meant. *shrug*

SRD wrote:the careless destructiveness of humankind: think of the emotions and actions of people as the raw materials, and the banes' outflow as the kindling spark
This could also be interpreted as:
Human destructiveness is the "mother" and the banes are the "father."
The Sarangrave was in essence the "womb."
Balon wrote:Was that section in LFB from a story of the Land? In that case, it could just be that the story was changed over time, from the inadverdant locking of Foul to the 'throwing him down' version.
Yes. Or it could be the interpretation made by the people of the Land (I don't remember if it was one of the Lords or Atiaran who told that story), which may be different from that of the author.

I, too, thought that "Should Pass Utterly" had gravitas. Until someone told me that it probably referred to a bowel movement. (Picture me with a grimace pretending it's a grin.)

I may have spilled the beans about THOOLAH but I most certainly did not pass on the Should Pass Utterly illustration.

From SRD news section wrote: A production company called Fully Loaded Pictures LLC has just purchased a 12-month renewable option to develop a film or films based on the GAP novels. The agreement covers all five GAP books, so I think we can safely assume that Fully Loaded Pictures does not intend to squeeze the enTIRE story into one movie. As is usual in these situations, the contract covers every conceivable eventuality, ranging from one half-hour cartoon in a non-English-speaking TV market to an endless franchise of "major motion pictures." But the (privately) stated hope of Fully Loaded Pictures is to tell the whole story in three films. I've agreed to "consult" with the producers on a very limited basis.
Friggin' A!
