Hard drinks or soft drinks?
Apologies but its getting hard to think of choices

I guess soft drinks, though I don't really drink much soda, I will make an exception for a good root beer.
Action movies or comedy movies?

Action .. though a good comedy is hard to beat
Outdoors or indoors .. re preferences for 1. work, 2. dining or chilling and 3. living

by StevieG
1. Work - Outdoors, even though my work is predominantly indoors at the moment...
2. Dining or chilling - Outdoors, given the right weather conditions - Christmas lunch outdoors is awesome!
3. Living - probably a bit of both, maybe more indoors I guess, although maybe outdoors... Ah, I'll say indoors, no actually, outdoors
Monty Python or Rowan Atkinson?

I love the indecisiveness hahaha

Its hard isnt it?
Monty Python definitely:biggrin:
Ugh now I have to come up with another choice...
Lose an arm or lose a leg? Trust me its way more appropriate than the suggestion my daughter just gave me lol

Ugh. Either would make it very difficult to do my job. I'm going to go with leg because I feel like it would be easier to adapt to the prosthetic and whatnot, though I could be wrong about that. (And I'm curious about your daughter's suggestion. Invite her to play!)
Live without electricity for a week, or live without indoor plumbing for a week?

Id have to go with plumbing .. we here get frequent power outages .. and we do have solar back up .. but if it happens at night not good.
Do you mostly say what you think, no matter how popular .. or are you a diplomat, despite your possible passion for the subject

It depends entirely on my trust level with the people I am with. There's just no point in sharing your controversial ideas with those you know are just going to have a knee-jerk reaction. Unless you like provoking arguments, but that's not my thing. So if I trust the peeps, I will really expose myself (verbally

) but not where I don't feel safe. I feel very safe on the Watch, btw. But not Facebook!! Too many old folk friends who get upset if I dis the Donald.

Having done both on numerous occasions in my life, it's definitely easier to live without electricity than water. Indoors is a plus.
TV on for background noise, or silence?

Silence. White noise is beneficial, but TV is too distracting. I have a little water fountain for my cats that provides nice background noise.
Vacation to visit: Pyramids and sphinx and whatnot in Egypt, or the Great Wall in China?
Posted: Wed Nov 28, 2018 3:23 am

Egypt .. cos pyramids right? Meh a big wall is just a wall .. though very big
Deer I hear and get what you mean .. safety is key. And yeah .. the Trump lol
Ok so what is easier .. to love or to hate?
Posted: Wed Nov 28, 2018 9:29 pm
by StevieG
Another tricky one! I'd love to say love, but I'm not unconvinced that a lot of people find it is easier to hate. Or at least to whinge
I'll say love though, because although it may not be easier initially, it's definitely more rewarding
And it can hurt more... and... it's still better! Easier, maybe not but definitely better!
Music: do you prefer to go to a live show, or listen to an album at home?
Posted: Thu Nov 29, 2018 2:42 am
by Skyweir
Good answers ...

all of them
There is no comparison to a live show, concert etc.. it does mean a modicum more effort than turning on the stereo at home
But the energy in the crowds, live stage performances are definitely better.
From acutely economic perspective .. yeah its cheaper to buy music and play it at home.... but from an acutely fun perspective ... worth the cost, time and occasional inconvenience of heading out for the day or night. We have a little pub in town that has bands come play .. thats one way to go

Damn another question of choices

Fiction or non fiction .. what is your preference and why?
Posted: Thu Nov 29, 2018 2:57 am
by Sorus
Depends on my mood. Fiction to escape. Non-fiction to learn stuff. I tend to read more fiction than non-fiction, but I will occasionally get obsessed with some subject or another and read everything I can get my paws on.
Seeing a favorite band live: Playing mainly songs from their new album, or a retrospective?

I used to read a lot of murder mysteries. I'm not sure I could face another one in this life - maybe with the exception of a new
Man Who novel.
So Horror, I guess. Although I haven't read that much of that genre either...
So, books eh?
Classic (ie. 19th Century or earlier) or Modern (post 70s)?

What? None between 19th century and POST 1970's?
Damn, that leaves out our beloved Mr. Donaldson!
Since the 19th century novels are worded so they are harder to understand in modern times, I pick POST 1970's.
American muscle cars, or exotic European (or Asian) cars?
Posted: Fri Nov 30, 2018 8:18 am
by Skyweir
Oh geez .. well looking at the vehicles we have .. Id need a 4WD .. but not entirely sure what American muscle vehicles actually are .. but I know that despite Volvo drivers passionate comments to them, I dont imagine theyd last me long, not would they be big enough for carrying hay bails and the like.
So as I am nothing, if not practical,

Id have to go muscle cars.
Ok spirits ... scotch whiskey or American bourbon? But ... there is more liqueurs licorice flavour, almond flavour, or citrus flavour, cinnamon flavour, mango flavour, caramel flavour, apricot flavour or chocolate? Meh

I do what I want

.. there are plenty of choices

Scotch Whiskey on those two.
My preference is Watermelon vodka.
Hometown or someplace else?
Posted: Sat Dec 01, 2018 4:12 am

Someplace else .. cos thousands of miles from my home town

otherwise my current home town is awesomeness.
Country or blue grass?
Posted: Tue Dec 04, 2018 11:00 pm
by Sorus
Generally bluegrass. I did go through a country phase many years ago and there are a couple of artists I still like, but bluegrass overall.
Pet dragon or pet dinosaur? Type/species is your choice either way.
