8O Huh? Wet turkey? What in blazes are you talking about? Lord Fowl's Bath?

But oh my, those aren't just dramatic clouds, they are Clouds of Feral Drama. Certainly worthy of scenes from the Chronicles...

Lord Fowl's Bath!!!,,Good One!! hehehee..SRD located in nearby Albekerkey NM should be acquainted with these SouthWest rough and tumble storms. I believe his " Grim" is inspired by our storm cells as per below:

Image

..and here is a "stitch" of several shots of the whole cell, creating a panorama of it as it swept into the Valley on Turkey Day:

Thank you CJ!..Allow me the following. The drama did not end with this storm pushing me off the hills. By the time i got home a lightning show was developing to the west of me. So I got on the roof and set up for some movie takin. Lightning blasting far to the west at about a bolt every 15 seconds. This is gonna be good! I start takin a movie ..and a commotion is coming down the street from the east. Now..I don't know why,,but the situation ends up rite in front of my house. A young woman with a young daughter in tow, is yellin at the top of her lungs , at a driver of a late 80's blue Mustang, to " LEAVE ME ALONE,,and GO AWAY...repeatedly. Now, this is the 2nd time in about as many years, that this kind of situation has presented itself , at my curbside. I thought it kind of neat that i was on the roof of my house, in the dark, with camera this time. So, as loudly and deeply as I could muster,I asked if the police mite be required. I heard the response from the driver,, his concern for his daughter in the weather..and I heard the woman yell,,now get this,,she ain't your father..Obviously the mother was stressing to the max,,so I again interjected myself with..I hear what you're saying dude, but I think we'll let the Police straighten this out. He wanted to argue with me..but I cut him off..with..dude I got your license plate on my camera here and we'll just let the Police deal with this. I got a phone call to make. For some reason,, he sped away, and the woman and daughter disappeared into the darkness. I gave up on the lightning show, figuring I had had enough drama for the day.

I wish we had good lightning displays around here, but I'd probably have to go out of the city to really see them. Then again, I don't like the thunder part...

Yes, the Grim crossed my mind, too.

Thanks Gentlemen!,,,just for a starting point, some info, the Venus shot is at:..comparative ASA was set at 200,,6 second exposure at f4.5..use tripod. A 10 second exposure wasn't bad but too much of the city light got in for my tastes. Heres hoping clear sky for all. Actually, a bit of cloud framing the impending trio wouldn't be bad either.

That's beautiful with the horizon at dusk. I can't get unobstructed horizon views where I live.

And the sky is completely overcast here. Looks like it'll be cloudy Monday night as well. Bah!

Man, I miss Arizona. It's been snowy and rainy over here. And as one of my good friends said, "I'm tired of taking pictures of death".

Great shots lurch!
