So someone I was "working with" on a project for a volunteer organization went over my head to appoint new people to co-chair with me cause the current co-chair needs to step down. I'm annoyed and so far the outgoing co-chair has not responded to my queries about how this happened without involving me. My spouse thinks I should wait till after the "holiday" weekend, to give the outgoing co-chair a chance to response. Pretty sure it's not a holiday weekend in South Africa, where this outgoing co-chair hails from, but I'm sure Av will let me know if this is incorrect.

That's annoying. Were they trying to 'help' or were they trying to give the position to a friend or something?

I think they thought they were helping. But it was inappropriate to bypass me, as I have done the bulk of the work.

Definitely not a holiday weekend here.

Yup not a holiday, she emailed me this morning. No apology, no explanation. I've resigned.

Oh, well, one less volunteer project for me to be involved in.

I have more than enough other volunteer activities to keep me busy.

Sheesh, I can barely find time to do the things I have to do, let alone anything else.

I hear that. In other news, the heads of the organization have still not responded to me. Nor have they told the new co-chairs that I resigned. I felt sorry for the new co-chairs spending several days waiting for me to respond to an email I shouldn't have had to respond to, so I took some time to answer their questions.

Cheap toilet paper.........! You know what I'm sayin'.

I feel your pain.

Absolutely; I'd give my right but to spend even an hour a day not on my feet, not racing at double time to do he job of two people on the shop floor while various other bods dissapear into the office with the radio on - then tell me how hard it is!

Or when they're actually doing their job, and seem to expect a medal for it.
