Aww, nothing like a romp in the surf, CJ!
Saturday, housecleaning, as promised, and checkbook balancing (eww). Yesterday I ran around in the rain -- brunch with a friend and her mom, did the grocery shopping, went to book club, dropped off the recycling, dropped off some of MagickMaker's job applications (don't worry, MagickMaker, I'll drop off the rest of them tonight!), read the paper, etc., etc. After all that, work is somewhat restful today...

Yes, pictures please!
As for me, I am looking toward this next weekend. I get to move into my new place, and quit being a semi-homeless house guest.

If things progress as they have been,
and since my Uncle married outside the faith,
it appears as though I will be arranging a Jewish funeral over the weekend for Monday or so...

Urgh, Menolly. (I sent you hugs in another thread...)
I'm picking up the girls from college on Sunday. Right now, I'm scheduled to be on vacation all next week, with a trip to my mom's (more sorting/packing, etc.) scheduled for later in the week. But it's somewhat unclear whether we'll be able to get much of anything done there -- I believe the assets are tied up for a few months. So we may bag the trip. We'll see....

Friday I am moving back home. Saturday I am going to the graduation party of someone I barely know. Sunday I am unpacking my stuff from college and starting to think about packing for Mexico.

I'm moving on Saturday. After the big stuff is moved in, I'm ordering pizza, and providing beer. Any and all are welcome to participate.

I would if I was in the right part of the country, but I'm not.

S'okay. . . I know you'll be there in spirit.
Actually, a handful of people have volunteered to come help, and several more are in the "possible" category.

At one time, I owned a van. The main reason I got rid of it was I got tired of being asked to help move people.
Not much happening this weekend. My dad's birthday is next week, so I suppose I should go shopping for him.

Well here in Canada it is the Victoria Day long weekend... Monday we will be taking a picnic dinner to the beach and watching the fireworks...

The wife, Rootling, and I are heading to Chicago on Saturday to spend some time with my brother and his wife. We'll probably go to the Shedd aquarium in the afternoon, then the two ladies and the little guy will head off to do some shopping, while my brother and I see a Cure concert. It ought to be a fun weekend.

I think I've charmed a few gentlemen to come bring their big trucks to help me move the furniture. I don't care about the boxes since I can move them myself (even the daunting "library" boxes). I just can't physically manage to move a washer and dryer, armoire and huge bookcases by myself. I'm a strong girl, but the heavy things outweigh me, and I'm not
that strong!
Anyhow, I figure if my friends and acquaintances come help me (and I've 3 people volunteer without being asked!) I ought to feed them and give them a nice buzz to go home with.

Hyperception and I decided at the last minute to get tickets and drive to Orlando for the Elvis Costello/The Police show. I am now totally exhausted. But...it was worth it.

Very nice. I used to be really into Elvis Costello, particularly toward the late 80's. Spike and King of America are still my favorite from him, although All This Useless Beauty is one of his more hidden gems. I haven't bought anything new from him since the Burt Bacharach CD, which I really couldn't get into at all. I'm curious to pick up something new from him again, but...I dunno.
As for the Police, I'd love to see them, but I've heard the price tags are pretty steep and the shows haven't been the joyful event everyone hoped they'd be. But I'd be more inclined to pick up a ticket with these two.
