Aww... I wasn't following this thread. (Had to work anyway. My schedule right now is pretty inimical to the whole having-a-life thing. Not that I had a life before.)

A trebuchet (IPA: [ˈtɹɛbjʊʃeɪ], /tɹɛbjəˈʃɛt/ or /tɹɛbjəˈtʃɛt/), also sometimes called a trebucket (IPA: [tɹɛbjəˈkɛt]) is a medieval siege engine, a weapon employed either to batter masonry or to throw projectiles over walls.

Her heart quailed as she realized the magnitude of the quest before her. Her hand shaking in trepidation she reached for the ring, unsure of her mastery. She had used the ring before but this time was different, this time she would use it for her own purpose. She looked about her in chagrin but her companions only stood rigid with forbearance at her immedicable needs. Helpless as an infant she realized that to bring forth power she needed the concessions of her companions, championing her obscure desire for the sandgorgons.

She took a deep breath and swallowed the tears of loss and regret that obfuscated her mind. Tears of chill and regret that had haunted her from the day she joined the watch relentlessly spilled down her cheeks as she gathered her strength and spoke the words, "Your intransigence does not allow the Sandgorgons to be. Nom saved The Unbeliver, Where would he be now if the Unbeliver had refused his summons and abandoned him?"

"Very Well, " Jay spoke, " I cannot concede and therefore you should be wary as you see fit."

His tone implied an aura of relentlessness despite his taciturn nature.

"Tell me something." Jenn spoke, "Why won't you give me Sandgorgons? I have envisioned them and desired them for so long. Are you the kind of man that would turn his back on such things or would you persist in the face of adversity? I give you one times three months to give me the Sandgorgons! or else the watch will suffer seven times seven posts about sandgorgons before I call upon the power of sandgorgons and plunge the watch into despair."

If you're going to write in the style of SRD, then I'm going to write in the style of Robert Jordan.

Jay sniffed, straightened his skirt, and drank some tea.

(800 pages of absolutely nothing)

"No," said Jay, and then muttered, "bloody sheepherder" under his breath.
