Wow. . . that's rather open-ended! And rather trusting of you as well. . . seeing that you don't know me!

This weekend I made sangria dn we had a SingStar party. It was awesome - singing 80's classics until midnight and then playing drinking games with a bottle of vodka and a half-bottle of rum. I ended up coma'd on the couch at 3.00am and I slept there for three hours before going upstairs to my bed. :D

The only odd part was when my friend's boyfriend showed everyone his hernia. Not something we wanted to see. :?

I managed to give myself my very first proper climbing injury, and sprained / strained / tore some ligaments in my chest which pretty much put me down for the rest of the weekend. Hope it heals fast. Sore as hell.

I'm resting this weekend. :D Still sore as hell...apparently at least a 2-week healing period for this, and I hurt it again shopping yesterday. *sigh*

Better not interfere with my trip planned for next weekend...

Off to spend Saturday night in a tented camp in the Magaliesberg mountains.

Mushrooms, a midnight abseil down a mineshaft, and a total lunar eclipse. :D Should be great.

Climbing for everybody else on Sunday morning, but probably not me as I'm still injured. (Won't affect my abseiling though, luckily. :D )

Then off to a nearby lake where a friend of mine is running a dive on Sunday, to just chill out for the afternoon.

Hey Av, that sounds great!!!

I've got my dance card all full for the next couple of weeks. Going SHOPPING tomorrow (wacko). New shoes for Sea...if you saw my current pair you'd understand why. May even lash out and restock

And Sunday I'm getting together with a few people for a BBQ including my recluse poet/painter friend John.

And then it's two weekends of Jazz (Jazz festival here in Inverloch and then one in a town close to here). Love my Jazz. :)

But it's Friday nite here (beginning of the weekend!) and I'm drinking bloody mary's, looking out at the moon shrouded in clouds, feeling the warm sea breeze blowing and listening to Norah Jones. Not that bad at all!!

I'm going to go mudding, hunting, drink lots of beer, dip some skoal, do some sister loving, and harass minorities just like a good Alabamian should. On second thought I might just hang around the house, read, work in the yard, and spend time with the kids. Besides I don't have a sister, a hunting rifle, any beer, or a four wheel drive, and I like all the minorities I know except for this one Greek guy. Perhaps I will just harass him?

That sounds wonderful, APART from the abseil down a mineshaft bit! Are you completely mad????? On mushrooms???????

Had a great weekend, as discussed elsewhere, great film (Hot Fuzz) on Friday night, total lunar eclipse in a totally clear sky and lots of wine last night. :D

It was awesome. Absolutely awesome. The eclipse was stunning, the mushrooms mind-blowing, the abseiling was great fun and the mine was dark.

Here's a pic of my friend rapp-jumping down the mineshaft the next day (In daylight...the pics of the night jumps and abseils didn't work out...I wonder why... ;) ) I'm lying on my back, on a little platform about halfway down the shaft to take this shot.
