Had some 8 grain hot cereal. Nice change from the steel-cut oats and the extra-thick rolled oats. All of it by Bob's Red Mill. Great brand! Can't beat the McCann's Irish Oatmeal, though, I'm afraid.

Britain still calls their sweet cereals "sugar" puffs, etc.? That's cool; wish my country still did that, but we're in denial of our sweet tooth: we call things "honey" oats or "toasted"/"roasted"/blah blah. Sugar smacks are just "smacks," now.

Well, today is: blueberry bagel with strawberry preserves and black coffee (been drinking black coffee more and more, especially when eating something sweet).

Just ate six Belgian waffles with blueberry syrup, a glass of orange juice, and a cup of coffee. Thank God I'm a jogger, all I gotta say!

The last two Belgian waffles were perfect--very brown and crispy.

Steel-cut oats with 1/4 teaspon of honey. Garnished it with sliced up bananna and raisins. Best (or at least most nutritious) way to start the morning!

Experimental breakfast today. It failed. Do NOT try this at home!

Couldn't make up my mind, so I threw all this into a frying pan and made sandwiches.... Sliced chorizo sausage, sliced mushrooms, chopped bacon, and cubed Mexicana cheese.

Stone, sometimes that mad inspiration works, sometimes it doesn't. :)

It reminds me that I have some bacon that I can cook up this morning. I think I'll fry up a couple of eggs to go with it.

Beorn is away visiting FIL, so it's up to me to make Paul's Father's Day nice.

Since it is only the two of us, I think Sunday brunch is in order. The buffet I hope to get in to isn't cheap, but my Paulie Pooh-bear is worth it on occasion.

Cherry gelati/vanilla soft-serve ice cream.

I really need to go to the grocery store... I miss normal breakfast.
