I will be staying in a hotel too. So, yeah: maybe we can all organize to stay in the same hotel. :)

Oh cut it out, you guys, you'll scare the noobs. Of course you would both be welcome.

Y'all can have the 3-person tent and I'll stay in the little one....

Seriously, y'all come. We don't all have to stay at one campsite, y'know -- there were *lots* available....

I am watching fares. But for me, it really is a long shot.

I talked to some of the parties involved. . . it may end up working out after all! My partner in roadtrip-crime is going to talk to her sister and family and iron out details in the next day or so, and when she knows what is happening I will be making my own plans. . . plans which look to include a trip to San Fran. . . where Jennron resides and the shadows lie!

Folks, sorry I didn't mention this earlier, but for those interested, there is a motel very close to where I live that advertises something like $35 a night. I'm not 100% that it still is the going rate, but if it isn't, it would be something like $45 a night. I've never been inside, but from the outside it looks a bit of a dump, but then again, most motels look that way, for the most part. And it is very close. Five minute drive at most. And it is right across the street from an Einsteins Bros. bagels, so there you go. I'll find out more info this week, and probably even stop by to find a phone number for those interested. Other than that, I'll look around where I live for other hotels/motels in the area.

Seriously...what is the difference between hotels and motels?

Damelon has already made reservations for the Opal hotel in SF for that weekend. It would be fun if you guys all got rooms at the same place.

I'll be staying at the Opal which is right by Luci and Jenn. Party central. :)

I was going to make reservations last night, but will make them today for that Friday through Monday.

[pedantry mode] I think they are now interchangeably used, but generally, a hotel is a building with indoor-accessed apartment style rooms for guests. A motel is usually a motor-lodge, where each room's door is accessible from the outdoors, usually facing the parking lot.

Sounds like a hoot, you all. I can't make Denver or SF, but please let us stay-putters in on all the fun details of these meet-ups.

That show was supposed to have played here this past Sunday.
Second time in a row I had tickets, and he canceled due to illness.
At least this time, he rescheduled right away, instead of keeping us waiting a year.
April 24th, it will be my turn to think of y'all as I hear Sir Elton sing Tiny Dancer...

Oh, poor Elton. :( Is it just the piano tour (him on a piano and nothing else)? That's what I saw and it was just ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT (and, well, we had second row seats and right in his line of sight so we were really lucky. My sister is a diehard fan!!!).

But...um...ok, I've gotta ask you all because I don't know: what's the significance of that song and KW get-togethers?

An episode of Fantasy Bedtime Hour uses it.
When depicting the Wraiths of Andelain.
