The half-elf snorted. "Should your blade not prove superior, we'll bury you with what honours your poor voice deserves."

Turning to Atrus, he shrugged. "It seems they're in a hurry...I suppose we'd best follow along. To the Ruins it is then."

Atrus barked a laugh at the bards jab. Tossing a slice of bread to Akhash, he starts down the trail towards the ruins.

Shrugging, Thonunian says, "Well, it seems we are all agreed on going to help out the Druid. Let us be off!"

With that, he finished putting on his equipment and runs off to go help Tanya at the ruins.

"That's the problem with the youth of today," the half-elf said, snagging the hunk of bread out of the air as the pureblood raced ahead.

"No patience."

He nodded thanks to the fighter, and hefting the unstrung bow over his shoulder, followed down the path at a more sedate, but nonetheless distance covering, pace.

the group moves toward the old runs.
The houses of the town become less and less untill you are in a open glade.
The old ruins are visible thanks to the light of the full moon.
You approach the ruins as silently as possible.
You can see a circle of high black stones. In the middle of the cirlce you can see a black pillar.

Looking around carefully, Thonunian walks into the circle very slowly.

[ooc]Spot, Listen, and Search checks to see if I can find Tänya, Solana, the Chronomancer, or any signs of "the evil that lives in the circle". [/ooc]

Thonunian's eyes widen as he takes in what he has just seen.

What the...?

He cautiously heads over to the black pillar in the center and looks at it for a moment, then calls the others over,

"Hey! There is a hole under this thing! Get over here!"

Once everyone arrives (assuming they do...), he asks, "Do any of you know what god that symbol belongs to? And do you think we ought to check if that Druid was foolish enough to head down this hole on her own?"

After listening closely, a look of surprise flashes across Thonunian's face, then it is replaced by exasperation, and he sighs before saying,

"Well, is seems that the Druid was a big enolugh fool to go down there, and now she's in a fight!"

He looks at the others, "...Anyone feel like helping her out? I understand that she probably doesn't deserve it, but... I don't like the idea of just sitting back and letting someone die..."

Ahkash rubbed his forehead and sighed loudly.

"What exactly am I doing herein the first place?" he asked.

Drawing his rapier, he looked around at the rest of the group...

"I suppose everybody else wants to go down there?"

[ooc]Using any relevant knowledge based skills, Renard will wrack his brain as to a relevance of a standing group of stones such as these and especailly a black pillar -- any runes or anything on them? And any sign of Tänya's horse?[/ooc]

waving the others on, "Go ahead! I'll be right down! Help our poor druid!"


(renard wants to know what he's getting in to. If he can't think of anything, he's heading down right behind the others...)

"Hmph, an old temple ..." Renard looks a little aprehensive... then taking a deep breath, draws his rapier from his wlaking stick and looks at the others.
"Well, gentlemen, if for no other reason that there is supposedly evil here and our comely druid is down there do I consider using my pig-sticker.
A self-mocking smile..
"Let's go!"

Atrus hesitates only long enough to draw his greatsword before jumping into the hole. Once in, he will move to any cover available. If there is none, he will proceed to attack whatever Tanya is fighting.

Watching the others descend with his characteristically wry smile, the rogue followed more cautiously, determined to get a good look at what was happening before he leapt into any combat.

[ooc] i want to give you a map of the area. One is ready i have to prepare some tokens for your characters. So you can explore the area in a better way.[/ooc]

Watching the others descend, Thonunian shrugs.

Well, at the very least, it will give me some good practice at my fighting...

Making sure all his shields and armor are adjusted properly, he draws his bastard sword and follows right behind Ahkash.

Sudden hesitation grips Renard. His brow furrows and his eyes dart to and fro.
"Uhhh..." are is first words, then looking at those about he whispers, "I just felt a magical effect come over me. I have no idea what it's effects are -good or ill-, or even if it has affected me. Be on guard."

After whispering something to Ahkash, Renard readies himself for what lies below and worries for the safety of Tänya...
