hi all

I will complete the begining locations tonight hopefully, and most of the characters are done, just waiting on a few details from some of you as well as needing to roll a few of the late comers.

So far I have completed characters for Stone Magnet and Montresor and have rolled up characters for Earthfiend and Goatkiller but need to chat with them to fill in the finer details (you both have my msn contact details guys)

Just awaiting details from Lore and confirmation of play from some other interested parties so I can put their characters together too.

All up looking good with some very good roleplayers on board.

A question. I had originally planned to have a "On route to Svalsing" thread, or something to that effect, so players can roleplay their actions on the way there, kinda like a reveal and a chance for the players to make one another acquaintances. I had planned for it to be short, just a chance for players to interact if they wish, or set themselves in the scene for their segregation or whatever.

Would you guys prefer that, or would you much rather the game start upon arriving to Sinestadt and get straight into it? I can see merit in both options.

^ If you already have material worked out for it, why not? Also, and this might be difficult to implement, but if you have characters coming in at the last minute from interested parties, you could start them off in Svalsing after the en-route preamble (they could have reached Svalsing by different means, or were simply keeping their heads down en route).

I don't mean this necessarily for people who have already registered interest, but for people who may register interest in the near future. Also people without combat stats etc could still engage in an en-route preamble, all they would need is their characterizations (unless there are unpleasant surprises en route, heh heh).

I have completed the VoB locations thread as far as currently known locations go.

Now just need to create threads for the remaining locations.

Honestly, I kind of like using the "chatting while en route" vehicle as my reveal. I think it'll help me develop some personality, as far as mannerisms and whatnot go.

Otherwise, Dorian, I'm still waiting for those names from your company, so I can use them in my reveal. Think I'll do an <insert name here> version of the story, just so you can look it over first.

I'm fine with whatever you decide. If there's an extended travelling sequence (which is always good to set the tone), I probably won't do a great deal. It's more in my character concept to keep to himself.

I'd like to do at least one more back sory posts, though. It's just a question of finding the free time some night this week. Other than that, everything is looking quite good so far.

Ive been trying to get in touch with you via MSN for the last week or so :P

Take a look in the persons of note thread and ask me for any other positions you need.

hey guys

I have been having trouble finding a nice painting of dokcyards and warehouses to use for my locations threads. If any of you can find a suitable painting, post it up in the next week. if i end up using your pic ill give your character 100 exp :)

ok guys was wanting your input on a few things

Im headed out of town on the 31st and wont be back for about 4-5 days, so was wondering if you would want the game to start proper after that? I should have all characters rolled up and done by this sunday at the very latest. That would give you all two weeks to post any more back stories you had planned.

Another option is i could post up the en route thread on sunday night and you would have me around for a week to take part in that then a week long pause whilst im out of town.

I guess what the question is, is would you rather wait longer and have a more continuous play, or start earlier with a 5 day break in play between the en route journey and the start proper?

Personally, i'd like to wait a bit to see more posts in the backstory section, looking forward to Montresors next post and the other players introductions, and I have a small final bit cooked up as well. So a wait and then getting into it works for me. However that might not suit Louis with a en route reveal.

If we're talking two weeks, still. I can do a full-on reveal story in that time, and just be prepared to interact once we arrive.

Just between Aesir, Acropolis, and now Pantheon finally coming back, I was ending up having to write a bunch of longer stories all at once. Was feeling a smidge overwhelmed, but I'm over it, now.

So, I withdraw my preference for either choice, and will go with what's easiest for the group as a whole.

Oh, don't apologize, Earthy. Your presence here is a gift, freely given. And we are all thankful for whatever of it we may receive.

It's not until you volunteer to RUN a game that people start getting all beligerant about you being gone for more than 10 minutes at a time (me included). But that's just 'cause we're junkies and we need our fixes.

(Yeah, it's just he junk talking, Lore. I didn't mean all those things I said about you when your computer died.)

<snicker> I think for Christmas, I'll get a giant replica crack pipe made for Menolly, that fits over her monitor. (Yes, I know you're Jewish. That makes it even better.)

Love you too, goat.

...the fact that the image now in my mind is perfect just makes it even more...arrrgh!

Heh. I'm over here trying to prioritize which game I write post to next. I'm in no position to point fingers about addiction.

though I guess I'm in a perfect position to make jokes about it

Fear not, it's coming!

Actually, I have a flu at the moment, so I'm just trying to rest and keep on top of my thesis. However, I will do one or two more posts in the back story section.

I just had to show this to you all.

img24.imageshack.us/img24/1371/bestworldmapcolour.jpg

I cannot take credit for this map. It was done by my gfs flatmate who is a graphic designer/printing specialist. I just sent him my black and white copy and he made it come to life. Expect this map and a brief run down of Alinia to be posted on sunday night.

I have decided to take the option where The game kicks off once I get back from up north, so pretty much two weeks from now. If the players who have not given me all their details could do so soon. Not looking at anyone who is rolling up their own characters *cough* :P

Haha yea, I spent like half an hour getting all my trappings and stats right before you told me you were gonna roll it up yourself! Excellent map, looks like something from a printed RP game. Just brings an extra professional flair to the whole wretched expedition. ;)

It looks like I'll be browsing this game as much for the pretty pictures. Unlike pr0n... "I just read the articles."

Hi all, I have scrapped the Rake and am playing a chimp from the 42nd century known as "Member of the Simian Family who has made Chrono Journey from 4155 AD". He has a rhohypnol dart gun which he uses to incapacitate people, and then extracts their sex organs to make a fluid that boosts his intellect. My character speaks Neo English, but is also a master debator, having won the World Series Master Debating Championship (his speech was titled "Pseudo Capitalist Zeitgeist"). I should also add that he has had 5D6 lovers in the past year, and there is +5 chance he will seduce a member of the opposite sex (he finds German women appealing).
