Anyhow, the point is not whether or not people are successful in keeping anonymous, it's more that presuming to know which character a person is and communicating with the player as if it goes without saying is a kinda rude.

I also find value in not knowing who the other players are. That way my impressions of them from one game / OOC won't influence my actions towards them here.

Yet you see no contradiction in making clear your own identity?

He's not the only one to have made clear that particular identity. ;)

I don't bother trying to hide my id. Just don't try to talk to me about the game OOC. I won't tell you anything Surya won't.

My own vanity (or OCD) required that I include a line for every game I'm in. But I listed the identity of Surya, since that was (at the time) the only character whose player was publicly known. I was hoping to be witty, since Surya was guaranteed not to be me.

Syl, what do the p/s/r stand for at the end of our results?

Do they stand for Preist/sacrifices/reputation?

Thanks.

Not The Autarch, but *nodding* anyway.
Those numbers synch up to those listed in our stats in the first post of the Game Thread.

~*~edit~*~

A question regarding the deities symbols please, Autarch.
I understand a little regarding Virelai's anyway.
But does it take DRP to use?
Or are the abilities activated on their own when called upon?

Thanks, I thought so. I wasn't sure.

As for the symbols, I think it can be what you want it to be, if you put drp into it.

Yep.

As for your symbols, that's really up to you to decide. You can use them without DRP, but DRP will bolster the effect. As you gain power (and likely experience as well), you'll notice that they can achieve more by themselves.

All results are out. If anyone has not received theirs, please let me know.

Ok, so the symbols *have* powers already??

Also, I notice that we have a lot of 1.1-1.2 drps. During turns, can we use partial drps to do something? For example, can I use .5 drps to do something?

Virelai's Harp does, if I am reading her results correctly.

My understanding from the rules is that the only thing we can do with partial DRP is donate it to someone else for a turn to add to their own partial DRP and attempt to make a full DRP with it. I think we can only designate power use in whole DRP increments.

But perhaps I am wrong.

Thanks, Menolly. I read that part just now.

I should say that some of the effects of the gifts I gave were either to just demonstrate a use or to make more effective something you were already doing. Don't read too much into it. As long as you rely on your own creativity and keep the balance of the game in mind, though, you should have no problems in using them. Also, don't forget that if you can think of something that suits you better, feel free to let me know. Just a personal gesture from me, not a stricture you have to follow.

Yes, your partial DRP can be either saved to make a whole DRP or donated to another god. In the future, only the gods' PSR will be listed, though as you saw in your results, you will know how much DRP you have to use on the next turn and how much partial DRP you have.

I should make clear that DRP itself is more limited than what you guys are probably used to. All things being equal, it will take you at least three turns to do in Acropolis what you could do in one in either Pantheon or Aesir.

As I was calculating your various scores, I've also come to realize that any mathematical formula will be far too difficult to implement. Instead, each category will rise or fall depending on what focus you put into it that turn, though you will still be capped at 1 DRP per high priest and temple for Priesthood and Sacrices. You all started with a baseline of .3 in each category, and you all added to your standing in some way. So, congratulations to all on a successful first turn.

Many chose to proselytize. I translated it as increasing reputation, but I'm not too fond of the term and would like to see the use of this in future submissions decline. In cases like this, it is far better to show me rather than tell me. Remember that you're not converting but convincing. If you have any questions on this, I'd suggest asking Kai for tips. ;) Allód was also on the right track.

If your current P/S/R adds up to greater than 1DRP, do you have that 1 DRP available to use? I'm not quite sure how this "saving" partial DRP works.

You can't use partial DRP, but it carries over to your next turn and gets added to whatever partial DRP you gain, so on and so on until it makes a full DRP, which will then be listed in your available DRP in your turn results.

Right now, you all still only have 1 DRP to use. If you all donated your partial DRP to someone else, though, someone would have 2 DRP to use in the coming submission.

This could get kind of complicated when donating Sacrifice DRP, so try to keep it simple if you decide to do so. I think I might have to put in some new rules (and perhaps create some new terminology and/or acronyms).
