Sorry, yes, I thought of mentioning Boromir, but figured that was too obvious with this lot.
So I guess I only found two Harry Potter alum - Filch and Tonks (as they are known in Harry Potter). Who else?

Spoiler
Mance Rayder, King Beyond the Wall, was Dumbledore's brother in the last HP movie. That was the only one I spotted myself. But there's a list here.

That's an interesting theory.
Spoiler
Would it override the claim that Bolton gained by marrying Sansa? What could he do about it even if he does have a legit claim? The Night's Watch can't get involved even if they were inclined to follow him. He has no army or resources. Melisandre could probably take Bolton out with her shadow assassin thingy, but why didn't she just do that in the first place?

Spoiler
Stannis offered to legitimize Jon Snow and give him Winterfell. Jon refused, and that offer is obviously no longer valid, but I suppose someone else could do the same. I can't think of any potential allies who would have that power, but I'm sure they could surprise us.
Noting the ostensible there, if Ned Stark is not his father... Depending on which fan theory you subscribe to, he could have more of a claim to the Iron Throne than he does to Winterfell. Either way, he's going to have a lot of new enemies. Should be interesting.

Edit again to add:
Spoiler
Howland Reed to the list of potential allies/people who would know the truth about Jon Snow's parentage.

A good start to season 6 -
A few thoughts:
A few thoughts:
Spoiler
1. Ew.com reports that GRRM and the show producers have dropped hints about the red woman's age. If so, I've missed them. I was surprised by the big reveal, and very creeped out.
2. I was surprised at the depth of feeling shown by Cersei - I expected her to erupt with rage at Jaime; instead, she appeared broken and defeated. Exellent acting on the part of Lena Headey.
3. Great to see Brienna finally make good on her vow to Catelyn Stark.
4. I doubt Ser Allister will remain in power at Castle Black for long.
5. The Daenerys storyline continues to languish, and now that the fleet at Merreen has been destroyed, the likelihood that she will ever cross the Narrow Sea towards Westeros is nil.
6. Not enough Tyrion and Varys.

So, with 2 episodes under our belt of the new season, and this is the first season where they are going alone without the books, what is your opinion of it so far?
For me, it feels like they are playing "clean-up" with the smaller characters to hone this sprawling epic into a more manageable size for TV. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm ready for the story to start advancing and the pruning of the tree to end. Sure, there's been a few things here and there. And certainly since they took so long to, I feel like I'm just waiting for the season to start still.
Anybody else?

I subscribe to the raegar and lianna theory, in which case he has claim to both winterfell AND the iron throne.

dany will be taking a dragonride to westeros I'd imagine.

Daenerys wins the Game of Thrones by becoming the unquestionable ruler of the 7 Kingdoms. It is unquestionable because (a) Targaryen bloodline claim, (b) she marries Tyrion and has a Lannister bloodline claim, (c) her dragons save King's Landing from the White Walkers who are destroying it at the time, (d) she's supported by a Stark, in this case Bran, who controls the dragons, and (e) she's supported by the North, in this case Jon [Snow] Stark, commander of the Night's Watch, King of the North, First among Wildlings, Rider of Giants, and Lord of the Zombies. Also watch out for Jaime earning redemption for Kingslaying by backing her at a critical moment.

Maybe they were just using Ghost to let us know Jon was alive before it was revealed explicitly. Those few seconds of, "He's alive!?!" before we know for sure, which makes us feel like we guessed it. A narrative trick. Ghost didn't bring Jon back.
But maybe Jon stored his consciousness in Ghost sort of like how Bran occupies his direwolf, and then his consciousness moved back to his body by something that Melisandre made possible, like "healing" his body.

Powerful ending to the episode this week. I mean of course
However,

Daenerys torching the place.

Ramsay Bolton killing the character of the actress who played Tonks in the Harry Potter flicks made me sad, although I knew it was coming when she walked in. Sucks. Now, even more, I want him dead.
