Rom has some moments, and Ditko at the pencils for a bit. Marvel can't use him i read, as they have lost the property. same with DC Comics and Isis.

BatO also had some fun stuff. the Forcy of July was great.

Power Man & Iron Fist had a nice run in the 80's. when Cowens was at the pencils.

Wha...!!!! 8O 8O Man, sarge, what the hell am I gonna do with you??? I'm more or less an encyclopedia on Iron Fist. PMIF had some great runs. Claremont/Byrne (mainly their IF run), Duffy/Gammil and Owsley (Priest)/Bright being the best. But I hated Cowan!!! Drove me up the wall!!!

Amazingly enough, I was very impressed with the art in The Question some years later. I checked to see who it was, and nearly fainted to see Cowan's name! He had, imo, improved beyond belief between the two stints!

I have a few issues of PMIF in my collection, way back in the day it was one of my favorite Marvel series. I think I asked this question before, but which came first, Iron Fist or the TV series Kung-fu? There are alot of similarities.

Shang-chi came first, and I think Starlin drew the first issues. Still, my favorite Shang-chi were drawn by Paul Gulacy. The only PMIF I liked were the Byrne ones....

Pilot for the Kung Fu series was in 1972.
Shang Chi's first appearance was in Special Marvel Edition #15, cover date December 1973.
Iron Fist's first appearance was in Marvel Premier #15, cover date May 1974.

And yes, dAN, Gulacy was amazing on MoKF. I also loved Gene Day's run, and he drew my favorite story arc, #115-118. Ah, I'm getting all excited thinking about it!!! :D SO much great stuff!! Shen Kuei is a particular favorite. I wish Ghost Maker had more than the two-parter. Zaran was a disappointment. He never had a chance.

For those needing some help, from left to right you have Humbug, Misty Knight, Black Cat, the new Tarantula, Colleen Wing, and Shang Chi, . Not featured on the cover by part of the full team are Paladin, Sable, and Orka.

this is the new Heroes For Hire team to debut this summer, after the Civil War mini from Marvel.

sounds like someone will be buying the series. i think it may been done in a somewhat humorous way? much like the She-Hulk or last Defenders miniseries.

I expect it to be crap. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. Nobody but Moench comes close to Shang. They should have left him wandering, hiding, that kind of thing, and had some amazing new kid show up, and reveal he's Shang's student.

does Chang work well with the heroes? i can imagine with the non-powered heroes and bad guys. it could stay realistic.

Realistic? We're still talking about comics, right? Sheesh.

difference between Shang-Chi and the Silver Surfer. many heroes could work in real life, the non powered heroes like Batman (as originally written), Catman, Deadshot, Cluemaster, etc...

It seems to me that any hero can find work in this day and age, as long as he has a good attitude and willingness to learn.

many heroes are rich (Green Arrow, Batman) many heroes have jobs (Superman, Daredevil)

why are there no homeless heroes?

That would be a story I would love to read. It would be the kind of story I'd like to write, too - something I could really pour my heart into. I can see it being both comic and tragic at the same time.

I remember seeing The Maxx on comic bookstore shelves, but I had no idea what this series with the quirky art was about.

Maybe it's not exactly the kind of "homeless hero" story I was vaguely imagining, but The Maxx does sound interesting.
