Hmm. I just logged in with a different account, and I didn't have the option there either. I think there may be a setting limiting it somehow; best ask an admin to go take a look.

Aye. Cheers, then.

From what I see looks like you found something!

Actually I changed it to see if that would trigger the option to appear in the Profile settings. We'll see if it works.
If you have a similar problem (want a title change but don't have the option in your profile), PM me with the title you want and I'll change it for you.

Oh yeaaah. Now I remember. I think I set a minimum post count in order to change your title. I think it's 25 posts. Maybe 50.-jay

Yeah, I suspected. Well, my offer stands... Especially if you ask nicely. If you turn out to be obnoxious, though, I'll change it to Poo-Poo Head.

Figures you'd do something like that,
Jay. :p
Poo-Poo Head? Does someone call Covenant that at one point?

Naw, it didn't show up in my Profile.

If you could change it to "Swords Mistress", I'll love you fer forever.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chronicles_of_Thomas_Covenant%2C_the_Unbeliever
Compare: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lord_of_the_Rings
Or even: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shannara where each book has its own entry and there are many hyperlinks for each character.
I really have nothing to add to the discussion of the books and have enough forums that take up my time already, I just noticed as I read through them that it wasn't especially well represented on wikipedia (or the internet in general) and wondered why such a bright and devoted community as this one had never mounted a campaign to flesh out the entries on the series.
If there's an explanation for this somewhere else, I apologize. I haven't done all that much reading around.

I tried but some idiot kept switching it back--but you're right we do need a coordinated mass effort--You need to help and stay here for discussion--I'm sure you have plenty to add!!!

Trying to make us feel guilty here, Insomniac? Hey, we get plenty of that just from reading TC!
Personally, I haven't tried to edit/add to the TC information in Wikipedia for the reason danlo mentioned: they would just delete any effort to do so. We're not part of the "in" circle at Wikipedia.
(And secondly, I've never tried because I'm not worthy of the task.)

If you read the
talk page, it seems back in February they were supportive of a project to format better and such, so I don't see why they would delete any effort by devoted fans to improve things. I may be wrong, but in most cases of wiki edit wars, there has to be a strong opposition, and I don't think the Covenant series has that.
At worst the problem would citation and POV problems for the tone of the articles if people tried to write in their own interpretations since wikipedia has a "no primary source" policy, but I wouldn't think that would cause too much difficulty.

Wikipedia isn't worthy of the Chronicles. Just my opinion.

Really, why bother with Wikipedia?
We are Kevin's Watch.
We suffice.

That's probably true, but according to alexa
wikipedia is the 17th most popular site on the web, and
kevin's watch is somewhere in the mid six millions. If you want people to find out about Thomas Covenant, Kevin's Watch may suffice but it's not the best possible way to reach people.
If you don't want to, that's fine, I just don't think the excuses you're giving are legitimate.

I agree with Insomniac By Choice. Wikipedia's Covenant articles suck badly. Didn't danlo try to fix that a while ago?

Hey everybody! (Julie here)
Dennis needs your help. He has tried and tried to bring the board up at home and it won't come up. He can't even get to the point of signing in.
So, I told him that I would log on at work and ask if anyone has any suggestions.
Please help. He's miserable without you guys.
Thank you, thank you, thank you...

The Watch has some server errors right now as Jay said here.
kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10181
Its not only him, its a worldwide problem.
I just have to try many times before i get on.
Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
