Interesting, but the thought of Bale saying "Stone and Sea" with the gravelly Batman voice is kind of scary!

Hugh Laurie to me is the best guy if they were going to film it now. For Covenant.

Hugh Laurie???????? He did a lot of wingeing in Sense & Sensibility, but came up trumps when the crisis arose, so I suppose............
I shan't watch the film if they do make it. I have all the characters firmly in my head and don't want them all being re-defined.

When reading TC's lines I always imagine Peter O'Toole's voice for some reason.

I think Matthew fox would be a pretty good cast. Does the moody, angsty self righteous part quite well in lost

Open Grave, and ...
Hellfire!.

Looks the part, but he has a pretty strong South African accent in the films I've seen him in.

Matt Ross strikes me as an interesting choice: moody, magnetic, complex:

Surely Christopher Lambert would be a good choice - he does have a stunted wooden quality occasionally ...

... but he has a Frensh AccENT [you silly English kinniggit]!
Welcome to the Watch, Glorifindal. Alas, we have entered the Fourth Age, and the Noldor are scarce.

In case he's not been mentioned before, how about Andrew Lincoln for the part of Covenant?
He can do both gaunt and tortured more than adequately...

In looking at everyone's ideas for Thomas Covenant's actor, I believe that actor Hugh Laurie would definitely be the best choice.

Anson Mount, the lead character ion AMC's Hell on Wheels...
The more I watch this guy the more I think he would be right for the job.
