Heh heh, this is quite interesting. An army of 10000 demons. Though, if the most powerful of deities combined their armies, we could have at least 4000 to 5000 troops ready. My Kingdom lies deep within the mountains with one of my cities a fort. If you wish, we could have our armies in my mountain kingdom. None of you would dare to consider it but keep this in mind, to face the demons on open grpund will mean defeat. Fighting in my mountains will give the advantage we all need.

The army of 10,000 are not the demons, I'm glad to say Nephirthos. The Demon army is smaller, but still dangerous. To delay by retreating to the mountains will not only leave the city of Solus vulnerable again, but it will give the demons valuable time to become stronger.
No, we must face them as they stand. Armies are already on the march to meet their force, and these armies will be further strengthened by the divine will of our comrades.
While your suggestion is sensible in the long run, we cannot take the time. We must strike while the iron is hot, and crush them before they can gain a foothold in our lands.
Send your forces to join the battle Nephirthos. All who will fight for the common good will be welcome. Or help us to seal the rift. The demons threaten us all if they are not eliminated.

several of my army's spies have witnessed the demon horde murdering innocent villagers and travellers. the torture and death of innocents can not be tolerated. i shall not have peace with creatures such as these. my army marches to victory.
Potere stands before the troops. many of them young and inexperienced.
"I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day. This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand FOR ORDINE NATURAAAAALLLLLEEEE!!!"
"to war my brothers!! TO WAR WE MARCH!!"

Despite the travails of Bhakti and myself, and the need to defend ourselves, having made the necessary attempt, I have held back one point of power to bring to bear against the rift once more. Join me, and let us seal this abomination once and for all.

My fellow Gods,
It's not my custom to give out any more information than absolutely necessary, but I will let you know my current actions so you can better plan your own. Don't get used to it.
The previous turn, I exerted my divine influence against the rift and against the enemy horde. I've also gone to lengths to make my city inaccessible except to my followers. Various tragedies have befallen the demons, I assure you.
I will continue to confound the enemy. Their efforts, as well as those of any aiding them, will suffer extraordinarily bad fortune. Not enough to stem the tide, I assume, but enough to hold them at bay for the rest of you.
Toringian, expect a caravan to supply your army soon. They will be attempting great haste; please do the same when you receive them so they can make it back safely.

I won't risk my men for the sake on saving your cities, I only wish to see that my land remains protected. My forts are ready and I have defence all over the mountains, where I have an advantage. I see three possible outcomes here, though.
1. You all fight and win. I'm happy because the threat is gone.
2. You fight and lose. I will fight the demons in the mountains, which you would have weakened for me. I shall win.
3. You all come to the mountains and we all win.
Anyone of these is fine by me. My offer still stands, though Avatar. Join me and I shall help you remove those who forced you from the North.
The rest of you should think whether you should fight a very powerful enemy on open ground, the mountains is a place of danger for those who do not know its ways.

Mulling over the situation here. I'm thinking on the two rifts... what do we think the likelihood is of the demons and aliens being brought into conflict with one another? Should such a scenario be prevented or encouraged?

Hi my divine brothers.
I'm here to declare my intentions.
I will send my regular army against the daemons and I will engage that damned rift to close it !
In help of my dearest allies Bakthi and Avatar I'll send the powers of my "wishing" follower, or at least I'll try to send him... He seems to be a little insolent person, to much power isn't a good thing for a mortal !

It would likely prove exceedingly difficult to fight
through the 10,000 with our considerably smaller force in order to get to you so that we could fight them off again, with a force twice what it was, but still considerably smaller than 10,000.

I thank you both, Solus and Argothoth, and all others who join us in eliminating this threat.
Nephirthos, while I am unable to accept your offer, I nonetheless thank you for it, and respect your neutrality in this matter. As long as you are not against us in this, you are free to not be for us.
Be steadfast bretheren. We must prevail.
Oh, Maeror, with the aliens current location, on an island, I think they can be left for the moment. But only for the moment.

A group of adventurers inadvertedly led the demonic host straight to L'im Verthackas, bypassing Solus's defenses by sheer luck and not realizing the direction of their flight.
Is this irony?

My fellow gods, if the demon rift is closed, and the demons for the moment hidden from us, perhaps now is the time to attempt by divine power a closing of the rift in the south?

Is Solina still a goddess? If so, is she still the goddess of Madness?

Well, apparently she is. How her restored sanity will affect her areas of influence is unknown, although some mortals have started worshiping her as the goddess of dreams, among other things.

How interesting, everything is being destroyed, I wonder how it will take for them to reach me? No matter, I live in the mountains and have protection all around it. Fear not Deities, the battle shall be won... they cannot hold out against all our combined strength.
