Thief (the new one). Meh. And I'm not even a fan of the old series, never played them.

Put that on hold while I try out Wargame: Red Dragon. Hell of a learning curve, but starting to get the hang of it. It's not bad as RTS' go, but damn, the visuals are impressive.

Yeah, I gave up on Thief after buying the first one, playing bits of the second and/or third one, and it not being as much fun as I wanted it to be. It was when I realized I didn't like sneaking around in games.

I've been playing Diablo 3, Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, Yoostar 2, and ModRacers.

I like sneaking around in games, but I like sneaking around in order to kill people, not avoid them. :D

Today my grandson (15 years old) found in an unpacked box from moving, my old Nitendo console and games.
He is now playing "Rock 'N' Roll Racing" and actually likes the game!
I can't wait for him to "discover" Donkey Kong and the other dozen or so games I still have.
He totally discarded the Wii, saying the games were "cooler" on the Nitendo!
Graphics may suck compared to the Wii, but he likes the games better.
Have you hugged your arghule today?

Started playing Heroes of the Storm, because it's free, and although I'm probably bad at it, I'm kinda hooked.

The Witcher III. I'm still not fond of the mechanics (one of the reasons I gave up on the second one a few hours in), but I'm enjoying it. The level of detail of the characters is impressive. Not just the faces, which are less corpse-like and don't seem to be made from a fairly routine stock character mold with random facial features thrown on, but also the depth of character in the dialog and voice acting.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I'm waiting on that one. I didn't like the mechanics of the 2nd one either (never played the first one), so I didn't rush to get it. (Never even tried a replay of the 2nd either.) When it's on sale will be soon enough.

Anyway, I've gone back to Warband[/]. I just cannot get over how much I enjoy it. (With the Floris Expanded mod.)

I've somehow wound up going back to FFVII. Maybe I'll get through disc one this time.

Back to Gothic 3, clearly the spiritual predecessor of Skyrim. If only the combat wasn't so terrible...

Assassins Creed: Revelations. For some reason I missed Brotherhood, so will have to get that at some point.

Back to Mount & Blade: Warband (Floris Expanded.)

Damn, that game is addictive. I have no idea how many hours I've put in, but I'm on Day 1140 or so in game time, and my character has made it to level 44.

I'm the Marshal of the Khergit Khanate again (I was briefly khan of my own nation, but I was getting my ass kicked, so I went back to the Khergit), and only the Rhodok Republic remains to contest our rule of all Calradia. The other 4 sovereignties have all been eliminated.

I can't wait for Bannerlord to be released, but who knows how long that will take...

Well, still pretty much the same place in Warband (Floris).

So, I started playing the AD 1257 mod instead. This one is a historically accurate (relatively) mod set in medieval Europe.

Luckily I could import my character (and all my cash) from the one mod to the other, so I could start out relatively well, as a vassal of the Golden Horde.

I don't have any renown or honour though, so have to build relationships with the Khan and his nobles. I had a small village as a fief to start, but it was taken by the Poles, so I'm landless and not popular enough to get land.

Time to grind. :D
