D***, how did I miss that on the calendar? Now I have to wait a whole year more to participate!
Umm...
Ouch?

Last we heard, you were interviewing at Lockheed Martin. Since the common thread is not obvious, what is it that you do, SQ?

Yeah I interviewed there but it did not work.

Good luck, SQ!

Magickmaker has a second interview at Target tomorrow. It was rescheduled from Thursday, when the store received a surprise visit from some higher-ups. :hairs: Good thoughts for her, if you please, and thanks! :)

As for me...back to work tomorrow. <sigh> My pregnant attorney had her baby yesterday -- yay! -- but she's left plenty of filing for me to do. And I still have the two guys. Plus a new person who has just joined the firm. Interesting times, as always....

Tired.... again. This wrap around week shift is killing me. Three more days to go until I get a freaking day off. Today was interesting. I got to work and realized that I forgot work pants. Sabrina had a spare pair that was a bit too small and we have totally different figures so they barely covered my butt. I wore them anyway. I mooned people all day long. Who buys pants with a two inch zipper? Who has a waist that starts at the top of their pubic bone??? Oh well, at least I was in uniform.

jenn - the watch demands pics. :)

did i mention it is in the 90's up to 100 degrees? and we have no ventilation/ac in the kitchen? they just bought us some fans - so we don't die. but it took and inmate almost passing out for that to happen.

ali - mmm no. lol :) i hate working holidays and i will be there for the fourth of july. celebrating america's freedom - with a bunch of locked up criminals.

Yep, everyone needs time to readjust after a fest.

I'm starting to get exhausted. Coming home and working a wrap around the weekend 9 day long stint at work is getting to me. Plus I am sad that I have to dye my hair back on Thursday.

On interesting notes... I am officially a bee farmer. The bees swarmed yesterday so Bloodguard Bob set up a second hive. We now have two beehives. I love bees. Seriously. They are so amazing. Too bad I was at work and missed all the excitement.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! What kind of music?
Rock bands fronted by women, mostly: Heart, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, No Doubt, etc. They had a Carrie Underwood song on their set list, so basically anything you'd hear live at a bar.

yesterday was miserable. 100 degrees in the prison kitchen. and it rained for 5 minutes - just enough to drive the humidity up. came home and fell asleep on the couch. got no writing down yesterday. :(

I crashed when I came home last night, too. Started falling asleep on the bus. Got home, got dinner on the table and ate, cleaned up, and nodded off over my knitting. Which takes some doing, let me tell you....

Y'all tuckered me out last week.

Man, so I'm starting to get butterflies in my stomach about Friday. The guy I've been exchanging info with wants me to sing Long Train Running by the Doobie Brothers and Mr. Jones by the Counting Crows. I had requested Somebody To Love by Jefferson Airplane, but they don't know it, though assured me we'd practice it Friday.

I don't think I can do Mr. Jones. One - I hate that song. Two - it might be out of my range. Why would they want a woman singing that song? I don't have a problem with stage fright, but I'm starting to second guess my abilities. Of course, this is all assuming everyone ELSE is any good.

GAH.
