I am gonna be the informal micromanager for Julie's wedding tomorrow. Wow. I've been best friends with her since she was a mere 18 year old college gal. WOW. How in the hell did time slip by so fast?

Going out for dinner tonight with a few friends , going to Bristol tomorrow to pick up a rental violin (gf is going to start learning OMG I'm dreading it!!!!) and then off to Ireland on Sunday for a week to see the family. Looking forward to it lots and lots as it's my big sister's 40th and we're heading off into the wilds for a two day party.

Oh...have fun, Stone!
...will Brid have access to the Watch, if (by all things wonderful and holy) Turn eight results should come out while you are home?

Not sure yet. With 4 under-10yo's running riot I may not have time to sit down, never mind get online.

I am going to mow my lawn this evening. After that I might have some alcoholic beverages while watching a movie at home. Tomorrow I'm having breakfast with a friend and then opening my brother's game store for him (I'll be done by 3pm). When I get home I'm making a peanut butter cake for the next day. After that I'm organizing my stuff in my house and attempting to get rid of all the bodies. . er,
boxes. Sunday I am going to a BBQ at my best friend's home (I'm bringing said PB cake). Then in the evening I'm watching some sort of Jane Austen movie.
Exciting life, isn't it?

Sounds good to me!
I'm working tomorrow until one. Afterwards I'm headed to the shore for a fun night out at some Wildwood dive bars. If all goes well I'll be flipping burgers on the grill Sunday with my wife and dog.

Ok, preprep for the wedding has been done. My eyebrows are thinned and perfectly arched. My toenails are painted in a lovely pearly light blue to match the blue accents in the dress and my fingernails are freshly manicured and painted in a lovely sheer opal. The dress straps have been sewn to the perfect length and the shoes and accessories have been chosen. (Thanks to Lucimay, my very wise and tasteful fashion consultant). She helped me pick out the dress in the first place. I think she sold me on it when she said, "Oh that looks great, you look very Stevie Nicks!" I'll be wearing two inch heels in a strappy sandal style and bedecked with white gold, emeralds, platinum and diamonds for jewelry. The escort is lined up. My close friend Canaan is going to be my "date." We shall look good on the dance floor since he always looks very dapper. The Seafest watchers met him at the barbecue. tomorrow I leave around nine to go meet the bride, Julie and our friend Heatherly for brunch and then on to hair and makeup appointments. Then it's flower pickup and on to the hotel for final primping, getting Julie dressed and decorating. Then the festivities start in earnest and I won't be getting home until late. Lucimay is going to be on Moose detail and give him some loving while I am gone. Tomorrow is going to be grand.

Have a great time, Jenn.

We'll look forward to seeing a pic or two.
I had a pretty good day. Mr Seareach took SoS on an adventure for the day leaving me to eat one whole box of chocolates by myself while continuing my indoctrination into the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
On returning home, Mr Seareach was an (unwilling?) participant in my Buffy work out which involved creeping up on him and after some high kicks (I forgot to show everyone while I was in the US how flexible I am...damn it!) but...heh...they're impressive...I then stabbed Mr Seareach multiple times in the heart with a stake (it was made of cardboard!!!)!
SoS loved it...and Mr Seareach thinks I've clearly lost my mind (quite possible)...but he seemed to like the game (especially with the knee-high boots, the miniskirt and the Buffy-esque top). Ok, he liked the game until I miscalculated a kick and smacked him in the face with my foot...and...so I was actually wearing tracky-dacks and not the skirt or the boots but...well...had ya all goin' there for a minute!

So, Jenn, how long did the state of perfection actually last?

Which went first, did a nail break? did the pain-to-hotness curve of the shoes go down too fast? or was it the humidity doing a number on your hair? Oh, sorry, that would have been me. *sigh* There are so few moments in life like that, so I hope they truly were grand.
Oh, yeah, weekend! We went to a very cool waterfall and went swimming. Then got ice cream (a VERY rare treat here in Nigeria).

Y'know, I never got into Buffy, but I VERY recently got into Firefly. I'll be looking forward to Joss' new series. Hopefully it is good AND lasts for a while.

This weekend I am cleaning the room my sister and I share when I'm at home. I'm taking advantage of the fact that she's away for the weekend, so I won't have to deal with any drama while I clean. Tomorrow I'm going to a friend's house to listen to an opera.

Yeah, two weeks ago I bought the series on DVD for $17 at Target. I'd watched the first disk on Netflix and enjoyed it prior to my purchase. So I watched all that and put the movie on my queue. I dug the movie as it was not "the same but grander" as most tv to movie translations go. I found it rather shocking. Now I want more, but alas....
I'm currently going through the commentaries on all the disks as I've watched it all. I'm starting to see what those Josh worshippers see in him. I'll probably start watching Buffy soon.

Did I? Gosh...I musta been drunk. Was it as good for you as it was for me (must have been *really* great since I don't remember!

).
Oh and, well...I actually really love Buffy. It's totally not what I expected it to be. But I'm really sucked into it now; and it's actually very funny (something I didn't expect it to be). Appeals to my sense of humor!
