Xar, just curious, as I see no mention of it this time in the Contest rules. Were there any additional benefits to entering the contest, other than the possibility of winning, the self-satisfaction of writing and (hopefully) the good will of the AllFather?

One would think that the prizes were already enticing enough... as always, different contests have different benefits...

I never win.
...or place.
Have you ever felt like Charlie Brown on Halloween when everyone else gets candy and he gets a rock?

I wasn't going to mention it, but since Menolly did... I could've sworn when I went to write my entry it was because something had been said about getting something just for entering, and I didn't want to miss out because of the large number of entrants. But after the results went up I looked around and there was nothing to indicate that was the case. Thought I must have just imagined it...
Anyway--grats to the winners.

They were, Xar.
I just tend to feel like Calais about the contests.
(although yeah...I did place once)

Though you don't always get a place in a contest, it is still cool (to me) to see other people's writing styles and see in to their RP perspectives. It helps you learn and adapt to become a better RPer, in my opinion.

I thought EVERYONE did a great job. It was difficult to pick a top three. I also think everyone here is a winner just for making the effort. I enjoyed all the stories. Thanks.

Ten HPs to each of my fellow Creationists (except aC, sorry. Not because you don't deserve them, but because I didn't have enough).

I wonder if that's a subtle hint that you would like to get 1000 HP in return for your generosity
