Nope not Vivix
Couple questions about specific scene - probably pretty easy - but oh well Smile
Scene - some Masters creating chasm to thwart Cadwals
1. What was Master name that was overseeing the creating of the chasm?
2. What was the Master name that they mention maintaining one side of the chasm? As further reference the Master in answer 1 has some discussions with this Master while maintaining the chasm.
Let me true tweaking the clues and see where that gets us:
I hope I don't have to hire someone that enjoys setting fires to light fires under each of you to answer the first question.
I guess my second master has been a difficult question to
catch and more of a whale of difficult question then first thought.
If you can guess the clues then you have most of the Masters names in the clue answers. Obviously you have to tweak the clue answers a little to get to Masters names
So as an example lets say Master was Vivix and I gave clue you have to have strong powerful clear images to guess this Master ...and you thought....hmmm vivid.... that gets you pretty darn close to Vivix....hope that helps some?

I like that clue! People have caught whales with nets or harpoons. I don't recall any master with a name like "net", but there's a Master of the Congery with a name like
harpoon. Harpool.
Master Barsonage supervised the setting up of the chasm (I recall close synchronization was very important), and the other Master involved was...Master Harpool?

Yes you are correct - Barsonage and Harpool!! Great job!
The whole lighting fires clue was hoping to lead people to arson ...then Barsonage
Then as you discovered catching whale was to lead to Harpoon which leads to Harpool.
So your question!!

LOL damn, the only masters I can even name are Quillion, Gilbur, Eremis and Barsonage.

No memory of the rest of them.

Thank you, samrw3,
New question: What is the name of the street where Terisa's high-rise building is?

Well I have no idea so anyone else want to guess?

A hint: it's also the surname of one of the earliest U.S. presidents.

It would be easier to go look it up than to have to look up and name early US presidents.

Thank you, Sanity, and I like your clue as well! It reminds me that for years the coconut-raspberry Zingers were one of my favorite dessert bread items made by the Dolly Madison company! Not healthy to eat, but kind of soul-satisfying!

On the first page of Mordant's Need was wrote:For example, her high tower was a luxury condominium building over on Madison, just a few blocks from the park.
Bonus bows to you, Avatar, if you decided to do your book search in chronological order, for such an orderly decision really paid off
this time!!
Your question, Avatar.

LOL, sadly, I simply took advantage of the 2 clues and did a bit of Googling.

(IS' clue was sadly meaningless to me.

)
Ok...
...
Staying in the "real" world, how long had Reverend Thatcher been serving God at his mission? (Bonus point for his first name.

)

The "Zinger" was a twinkie competitor produced by Dolly
Madison bakers (before both Hostess and Dolly Madison went bankrupt and became the same company...)

Av, I'm guessing that Reverend Thatcher has been serving God at that mission for twenty years.
And his first name is Albert.

Well, you got the name right.

But the time span is a bit more "biblically" aligned.

So, Reverend Thatcher has lead the mission for forty days and forty nights, like how long Noah sailed the ark?

Maybe, but I suspect if I ponder it for too long I'll find myself lost in the desert...
