Vynarkus uses the move action version of withdraw to take one step to the South-East, and then 5 squares to the East. Then he uses Eldritch Spear to attack the demon that attacked him.

Led charges the unsuspecting devil. As he passes into it's range, it swings it's deadly glaive at him but misses the agile scout! Led's left claw strikes naught save air, but his right strikes deep and deadly...or at least, if it's skin didn't resist the blow so much.. (12 points)
The infernal savage steps back 5', and swings it's glaive at this impudent mortal who dared strike it! Once, twice, the saw-toothed blade flashes by, both missing by an exceedingly narrow margin.
The fiend facing Marrik grins, and wields it's blade into a deceptive slash-and-thrust combination....his shield deflects the slash, but the follow-up thrust slides past and into him, although his armor limits the depth of this stab. (5 points)
Vynarkus continues to bleed! (2 points) as he deftly slides back away from the baatezu now occupied with Led.
Skyseeker continues to assist Laurel with her armor, but takes time to fling a javelin at the one busily mauling the paladin. It strikes true....but to no effect! It's hide is nigh-impervious to those lacking the proper weapons...and the flames flicker across its skin harmlessly.
Bleeding from his wounds (2 points), Marrik steps closer, careful to avoid giving this fiend an opening, before calling upon Missaryi and striking with desperate power! (17 points)
Barak quickly casts a Magic Missile at the one facing Marrik! He is unable to drive his spell through the creature's spell resistance, as it winks out just shy of the enraged fiend.

The barbazu manages to land a blow on the young Heshic as he creates the space to charge ( 7points), this wound like all the others pouring blood!
Ignoring the pain of the grisly wound, he charges, his claws striking true, despite the tough hide! (9 points and 7 points).
Led's foe suddenly teleports! It disappears and reappears near Skyseeker and Laurel, immediately swinging his blade at them! A deft figure eight movement leaves gaping wounds on both elf and bard in its wake! (Laurel--8 points, Skyseeker--6 points)
The other fiend continues its frenzied assault upon the paladin, who si now fighting defensively as he bleeds out. Axe and shield weaving seamlessly, the bearded devil is unable to land a new blow, even as Marrik continues to weaken. (2 points bleeding damage)
Vynarkus unleashes his blast now....but is unable to pierce his targets resistance!
Marrik steps 5' northwest, and once again calls upon Missaryi, swinging as mightily as before! (16 points) With a savage yowling, the fiend collapses, foul ichor seeping from its wounds.
Barak casts Magic Missile again....this time overcoming it's resistance! (7 points) The beast's head removed, the body slumps to the ground!

Vynarkus grimaces through the pain as he watches the second devil fold to the ground, then walks over to Laurel and Marrik, assessing the conditions of the party as he goes.
"Marrik, if you would be so kind as to use a small amount of healing [ooc]one point each[/ooc] on us all to stop this wretched bleeding, we can decide whether or not to use more powerful healing spells to repair the damage before continuing.
"Laurel, this may be a good time to see if Marriks divine healing [ooc]lay on hands[/ooc] is affected by your healing hym. And if mundane bandages can help stanch this bleeding, they would be greatly appreciated on my part."
While saying this, he uses Detect Magic to see if there are any magic items on the devils, and to see if they were summoned by a spell that is in any danger of wearing off soon.

Led limps over to his tent, takes out his first aid kit, and returns to the group.
Heal Checks all around
Knowledge(Nature) Check
"What are Devil's doing wandering around the forest? That ain't natural. It kind of bothers me that all of these extra-planer beings seem to know right where we are, and keep popping over to say 'Hi'."
"And really... why are the ones on our side able to do nothing more than drop cryptic hints, but the ones against us can bring magic items and all their friends?"
He sprinkles some herbs known to cause blood clotting onto a bandage, then presses it into one of the open wounds on Marik's side, eliciting a wince of pain. "Maybe we need to switch sides, eh Marrik?"

Her song modulating from one of confidence to a hymn of healing, the bard finishes putting on her mithril shirt and retrieves her own Healer's Kit from her backpack. [ooc]another round of Heal checks or aid another, please, whatever way is effective[/ooc].
Seeing the scribe tend to Marrik, the bard slowly nods. "For the hymn to be most effective, I suggest seeing how well it works with Sir Marrik's laying on hands and us trying to sleep again to allow both to work. With morning so near," [ooc] I can edit, if I am jumping to an incorrect assumption[/ooc], "I would prefer to save my spells in case we are attacked again before we leave this glade. Yet if others feel differently, I am open to suggestions."

Led frowns. He glances from Marik's gaping wound, to Vynarkus', down to his own, then over at Laurel, who is herself bleeding.
"As with donning armour, dispensing healing isn't something that can be done at the beginning of the fight. There's merit to not using your spells until we need them, but I think we've crossed that threshold. We need to be healed now, while there's still the option of doing so."

Marrik casts his healing spell on himself. (Caster check, FAIL). His wound continues to bleed. (2 points
Led succeeds on Heal Check on himself, and manages to stop his bleeding.
Laurel fails on her Heal Check, and continues to bleed (2 points
Skyseeker continues to bleed (2 points
Vynarkus continues to bleed (2 points)
/ooc--there will be 2 points per round loss until a heal check or caster level check for a healing spell succeeds.

[ooc]I had already said I would do aid another instead of my own Heal check, whichever was more effective, in my previous post since I had no idea of anyone's ability to take 10 on a Heal check. I have +5 to Heal right now, with all of my bonuses. I leave it to the DM to decide who aids who at this point. I haven't the slightest idea.[/ooc]
Moving to the scribe's side with her own Healer's Kit, the bard does what she can to mundanely help.

Led sighes, as he takes his hand away from Vyn's wound and sees the bandage not acquire more staining.
He glances at Marrik and Skyseeker, grimly, but sees that they're also safe. "Well, we stopped the bleeding. Is it safe to actually heal us, as well? I'm worried that those things will have friends. Or that they were summoned here by someone else who's still out there."
"Vynarkus, is there any way you can magically tell if those were sent against us? Maybe find who did it?"

The bard grits her teeth and steps away. She sang her hymn. And she will not endanger the party by wasting a possible life saving spell for another on herself. Moving her bedroll into the shadows while the others seek answers to the origin of the devils so they will not see she is still bleeding, she breaks out her Healers Kit and attempts to staunch her wound. As she presses the bandage to her side, growing more light headed during her attempts, she lies down and drifts off to sleep, hoping her mundane attempts and the hymn is enough.
