W00t!! Congrats! I'm sure you'll capture their special day perfectly.
Life is so weird. There are many things that are happening so fast right, most positive. I don't want to elaborate further, in case I jinx anything. I'm not usually superstitious, but we really need some good things to happen right now.

Nice, Jenn.

Jaz
Long week. Always a long week when it's so cold, and my plans to take time off didn't work out for multiple reasons. But it's Friday. Yay.

Tomorrow is my last day at the Emeryville store. I start at the Berkeley store on Tuesday. I brought in a cake tonight that said, "Good Luck to a Great Team." and everyone loved it. They also rocked it out for me. My people and I worked 11 pallets of freight and they had a pretty decent recovery. Almost every one of the crew has begged me to take them with me to my new store.

A little necromancy never hurt, especially when it is job-related.

Good news, Jenn! And best of luck, Jaz! Y'all were due for some good news.
Visiting with lorin in NYC this weekend.

We saw "Next to Normal" last night -- great show! Then I spent the night in our firm's corporate apartment -- nice little place with free snacks in the fridge, and the neighborhood's not bad (E. 52nd St!). Taking the boat out to lorin's in awhile. Home tomorrow morning.

are you kidding!!!! It's Sutton Place, near the UN. I could spend a lifetime just looking in the windows of all those ambassadors and heiresses.

I am not a big fan of musicals but this is the best damn play I have ever seen. It is going on tour and you lucky people that live in
san francisco (hint hint) and
seattle (hint hint hint) need to see this. truly amazing.

It snowed. No work. Gonna stay home, gear the paladin, maybe level the warrior so that storyline can progress... Napping, cuddling the kittens, and possibly food even though food is evil.

Had a Worst Case Scenario Day, and I should just go to bed now to get it over with, because if I stay online I will probably be struck by lightning.

Are you ok, Sorus? Call me if you need to.
I went and had my hair done at the beauty college up the street on mission. The guy who did my hair did not exactly understand what I wanted but it's still cute. He was actually a professional hair dresser in Brazil for years but has to go through the motions to get licensed in the US. I am now sporting black and blonde. The lower half of my hair has blond ends for about and inch and a half and I have one blonde streak on the top. I really wanted it white white white but he did the best he could do without totally frying my hair into crumbles.
Now I am making a Mexitaliasian fusion dinner. I am making risotto (hence the italian) with chorizo (hence the mexican) and shitake mushrooms which gives us the asian flair. Sounded like a wild but tasty combo so here's to hoping it doesn't suck.

off this morning on a 10 day cruise

that I shouldn't go on, that I can't afford. I have been so stressed and walking an edge for so long I decided I better just get away. Not a huge expense - 10 days out of nyc for $850.00. Guess it will be rice and beans for a long time after I get back.

Jenn -- pics of the new do?
Walked into work yesterday and found my desk and chair so cluttered with projects people had left for me that I literally could not sit down -- there was no place on the desk to put the stuff that was in my chair. Sigh. I dunno whether it shows how much they missed me Friday and how much they need me, or whether it's a sign that I need to get out.
Anyway, I got sick partway through the morning and not even Imodium would make it stop. Dunno if it was a virus, or food poisoning, or my gut reacting to the stress. Anyway, I dragged myself home last night, intending to make myself some chamomile tea and go directly to bed -- and found a "love note" from my bank saying they'd bounced my rent check. Sigh. So now I've got another mess to clean up.
Made myself some rice this morning. So far it's staying, uh, in. I guess I'll go to work, after all. Maybe I'll get some of the bills done today....

Hang in there Ali. Been there and done that. Ugh. Lorin, just don't worry about money or anything while you are away because that will defeat the whole purpose of the getting away aspect.
Starting at the new store today. Wish me luck everyone.
