*imagines a variety of Watchers wearing a variety of pairs of suspenders, and me demanding that they hang on to this mode of dress, even when it (sometimes, surely!) is a fashion "don't"*

The time we came up with for a Watcher Chat is:
Tuesday, May 8th
12:30pm GMT
7:30am CT (US)
10:30pm AEST

Is that Tuesday my time at 2230hrs lol just checking .. its very confusing with time zones and what not .. and wearing unfashionable suspenders. ... that are sooo yesterday

Anyhoo .. once thats sorted .. Ill definitely be there.

I was thinking about chatbane .. we should run at least two. One at the time that works for some and one for a secco day time that works for others.

So this time is workable .. hopefully broadly and we know 0400hrs GMT works for some.

We could run a third time zone as well . Advertise and then hopefully we will enable broad participation

Yeah, everybody should just work off GMT. (Or UTC as it's known these days.)

Mountain time! That's one hour earlier than me - I'm in Central.
So yer 12:30pm GMT would be:
6:30am MT Tuesday.

And 04:00 GMT would be:
10:00pm on the day before in Mountain Time.
(It looks to me like there COULD be a "MST/MDT" confusion during winter, but hey it's not winter right now. anywhere, even.)
I can verify that Av is sometimes around at that time - and I've hit him up for a chat, and he popped on to chatbane. (peter, as well.)

GMT -7 when standard time is in effect, and GMT -6 when Daylight Savings time is in effect.

Looks like at this time of year, it's GMT -6!

Just for fun, -6! equals one month earlier. [a 30-day month, not Feb or those 31-ers].
That is pretty weird.

This is great!
6! = 6 times 5 times 4 times 3 times 2 times 1
and 4! = 24, so 30 times 24 hours = 30 days.

My first instinct was to say you were wrong because I was thinking DAYS not HOURS.

I am facepalming my face in humiliation.

There is literally a funny story about a high school teacher introducing factorials that I try to share every time I teach a Saturday class for a semester... so clearly a good choice of target audience on your part.

Anyway, this thread was about Chatbane, so... hey - you used to participate in the Watcher chats awhile back, didn't ya, vraithster?
