Seareach, your little boy is absolutely precious. Everytime I see one of your avatars I get a big smile on my face. It brings back great memories of when my sons were so sweet and small. Well, they are still the sweetest kids on earth, but they sure aren't small and cuddly anymore.
Lore, I am
glad that you are feeling so much better. Life can be glorious and precious and can be filled with joy.

Sure, it sucks sometimes, too - but those days of perfect beauty more than make up for occasional suckitude.
Jay, in my experience at college, graduating is often as much of a test of will between each student and the diabolical administrators as it is a test of intelligence or quality of work.

I have confidence that you will prevail when all is said and done.
Murrin -feel better.
I am happy today.

It is one of those fake little government holidays (President's Day), and I do not have to go into work tonight.

So my work week looks like this: off Friday and Saturday, worked on Sunday, off today, work on Tuesday and Wednesday, then I have a four day weekend for my husband's birthday.

It should be a good week.

got more good news it seems. my 401K can cover the closing costs for the house and some needed repairs. we should start paperwork by the end of this week or the beginning of this week. and then just 30 short years of mortgage.

You're right Av...if only it were that easy <sigh> but I do my best.
And thanks Duchess for your words; hope you have a lovely "long weekend" with your husband!
Oh and Jay, good luck with your thesis! I'm sure you'll be more on the ball than I was (I had no idea what I was doing right up until the moment I handed it in!).
I'm tired today. Had a heap of work to catch up on (half of which I didn't get done but at least I'm no longer having software problems!). I plan to get an early night tonight but, knowing me, I'll still be up at midnight stuffing around. Never seems to be enough hours in the day!

Well, I'm sore. I slept wrong, and now my shoulder aches, and my back is whining again, but that's probably from the tire change I had to do this morning, which was karmic residue from yesterday, which was a real pain in the butt day. It started off innocently enough, but I knew when I dropped my Hot Pocket at lunch, things were gonna get worse, and sure enough, they did. I went to pick up my boy from school, only to wait 30 minutes to find out he lied to his teacher about me picking him up, took the bus and didn't call me to let me know he was at the sitters. So, a bit miffed, I got home to call the ex, and 2 minutes into the call, my phone & power go out. And stay out, for six hours. Turns out a semi hit a power pole at the intersection in front of my complex, and the whole complex was out of electricity until 11. Now, having the power go out is no big deal, except for the fact that the last time I had no power was due to a hurricane, and it was the day that me and my ex decided to split up, so there I was, in the dark, thinking about the worst day of my life. I guess I'm actually lucky; I mean, if I was 2 minutes later getting home, that truck would undoubtably have ran me over, too. Anyway, I woke up this morning glad that monday was over, but monday still had the flat tire present waiting for me.....curse you, Monday!

Excited, and a bit frustrated. Buying another horse, but the sellers are dragging their feet. Hopefully it will all sort itself out tomorrow.
Also feeling a bit daunted. Want to buy (or rent with first right of refusal) a house and land with a partner in crime in the next year or two, but don't know how we will work it out. I am thinking if I buy the property as part of starting a business, it may work better, but I have to dig up at least one investor to help us along... Also need to decide what kind of business we are capable of running. Seems like the state has enough boarding barns, but hell, what's one more, right?

It's either that or home restoration and resale, and I don't think I have the energy for that.

Yeah... I'm cool now, thanks. Had a long day of trying to work on my thesis, which usually consists of me sitting on my butt all day in front of a computer without getting much to eat. Plus I was working forever on this Matlab code, and I was finally able to get it to work the way I wanted. So I was a little crazy at the end of the day...heh. I probably should go to bed soon.-jay

Haha, yeah, don't tempt me. Heh. Yeah, I'm just drained. I should go to bed. Although I'll probably waste another hour right now playing Tales of Symphonia, heh.-jay

Jay, go to bed - you will feel recharged come tomorrow. Dont fall into the trap of thinking there is more to be done tonight. Just rest.

Bad luck on that one, Sarge. Don't give up. Something good will come out of it, I'm sure. A better deal with a BETTER mortgage co? I'm sendin' some good juju your way!
How do I feel today? Hot. And tired. And my hayfever is off the scale. But I just had a nice cup of pomegranate green tea, a nut bar and my workmates just gave me a chocolate Baci and a coffee toffee.
I like to look on the bright side!
