Octopus by The Bees. It sounds as though they've tried to fuse their own sound with a different genre on every track, covering Country, Jazz, Reggae, Ska, Latino and even Disco. I didn't think the Bees had another album in them after doing so little except headline the Isle of Wight Festival since Sunshie Hit Me, but this is great stuff.

The Advent Children soundtrack. Very good, too.

Dokken still around?
I used to hear them when they first became popular way back when.

Right now, I'm listening to a CD that a co-worker gave me to hear.
It's a Canadian band from the mid-70's/early-80's named Max Webster.
The song playing is called: Check
They remind me of Three Dog Night,
but with a little raw-er (is that a word?) sound in the guitar licks.
Have you hugged your arghule today?

I saw Don Dokken about two years ago and George Lynch last year. Dokken's show was so-so, Lynch's was great.

Tobias Sammet's 'Avantasia, the Metal Opera - Part 1'. Not operatic metal, but a metal opera. Interesting stuff.

It was actually kinda disappointing. Dokken was great when I saw them (intact) back in '88.

Now listening to:

Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction

This is one of the less thrashy albums. Still good stuff though.

I thought I should find out what all the fuss is about. I'm quite enjoying it so far; I think my favourite song from this album at the moment is 'Children of the Sea'. I'm slightly amused by 'Lady Evil' though - the opening bass riff sounds the same as the one in '9 to 5' by Dolly Parton.

Alkaline Trio - I Was A Prayer.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Full of the heavens and time.
