Had a long and disturbing dream about discovering that a neighbor was a serial killer, and no one would believe me.
Probably something to do with the creep that's been harassing me on my way to work. Gotta love this neighborhood.

Harassing you? What's he been doing?

Skyweir..
Ocean is around 600-800 miles away from me..
The western part of Lake Erie is about 160 miles to the north,
South western Ohio is noted for large bodies of water.
has to due to being 750 feet above sea level.

Basically being a jerk - speeding down the middle of the sidewalk on a bicycle that has such a bright light that it looks like there's a car coming at you. (It's dark when I leave for work.) I started walking on the other side of the street, then he started crossing to intercept me, then started adding verbal abuse that's escalated to the point where it's a bit disturbing. (I'm used to random crazies; it takes a bit to get under my skin.) I've been leaving earlier this week - managed to avoid him every day except Monday.
He's scarier than the average random crazy because he seems to be on an actual schedule - guessing he's coming from the train station as I'm headed towards it. So he either lives or works in this neighborhood, and I don't even know what he looks like because he blinds me with the light. I could run into him anywhere, and he'd recognize me and I wouldn't recognize him.
I've been stalked by scarier people - he doesn't know where I live or work, and I seem to have figured out how to avoid him, but still. Ugh.

Cool dream Nano
Sorus .. two things lol ... 1. Youre used to being stalked

2. Hes scarier than the average crazy.
Nope not normal even if its become your norm. lol
Is he yelling abuse AT you .. or is he crazy and just yelling. On phone cant use punctuation lol ... please assume question marks
Is it coincidence that he is running into you ... or is he following you once he sees you ...
Do you think he is mentally ill .. that kind of crazy ..
mmm.. I dont doubt that it takes a lot to get under your skin .. but his weirdness is worrying. Its good your strategy of avoidance is working .. but if he suddenly starts showing up a little earlier just to be a dick .. I would walk home with a dude friend if you can. He might pull his head in if youre with someone.

Unfortunately it's on my way to work, walking to the train station way before the crack of dawn in a bad neighborhood. The sort of situation where if something bad did happen, most of the comments would be along the lines of 'What did I expect?'. I don't think he's crazy - but definitely some anger control issues or something. I don't think he'll change his commute in an attempt to figure out where I went - I don't think whatever is going through his mind is personal enough that another random stranger won't do. Just not looking forward to when the time changes next week, because I'm already getting up half an hour early to avoid him.
(I wouldn't say I'm used to being stalked, but I was in a really bad living situation some years ago, and while this situation doesn't have many parallels, it was enough to give me nightmares. Which have ceased since I changed my commute, so there's that.)

I carry pepper spray and a knife and a decoy wallet (though robbery doesn't seem to be a factor here).
Nothing he's done thus far has been illegal, or enough to warrant the use of self-defense tactics. I won't hesitate if he does cross that line, but I'd rather just avoid him.

Good. On all counts. A fight avoided is a fight won.
(What knife? I collect knives.

It's a Smith & Wesson Swat II. Was a gift from a friend who is in the military.
Mainly use it at work - they don't trust us with sharp knives in the warehouse, and I've hurt myself more times trying to hack through stuff with a 'safety' knife than I ever have with a real blade. But I do keep it in my pocket in easy reach, and while I'd go for pepper spray first in a self-defense situation, I like to have options.

Nice. (Nice friend too.

) My current pocket knife is a Kershaw Filter:

It's really sold me on the whole "assisted opening" thing, which I never cared about before.

I've been hanging out with Thisalee Crow. (WoW joke.)
Anyway, on topic.
Had a weird dream just last night. I was moving, and it was to a place I'd never seen before moving in. It was in a neighborhood that I think I have dreamed about before, but it doesn't exist in the real world.
I had thought that the new place would be about the same size as my current place, but I kept finding more doors that opened into more and more rooms. Really weird architecture, all strange angles and no windows at all. All the rooms were empty, but they didn't feel empty. It wasn't a bad or creepy feeling, just a lack of the kind of echoes you expect to hear in an empty house. I found what appeared to be a back door - chained shut, but when I opened it, it opened into a corridor that looked like part of a hospital. People started coming towards me in a way that suggested I was really not supposed to be there, and that's about when I woke up.

I had a strange dream last night that a party broke out about three in the morning in the flat below. Dagnabbit! - I thought with a heavy sigh.
Then the noise below stopped and I heard the faintest snatches of singing. Like a line from a rugby song, repeated over and over, but tattered as if through a blustery wind. Or more accurately, through a long winding tunnel.
Anyway, I realised I was actually awake and was hearing the peculiar singing noise. Ever so gradually the singing sounds began to get clearer and nearer until a party of drunks approached walking past where I live. They moved off down the street and into the distance, singing and shouting and puking and stumbling and laughing ...
I live right by a subway that runs under the city circular.

Had a very mixed up dream last night that left me with only the image of a computer toy I'd spent way too much money on. An automobile that had lots of flashing coloured lights with a neat set of switches and buttons.
My interpretation of the dream is that of simple triviality.
I'm now way over my monthly internet allowance, (I persist on using a mobile broadband dongle that can often run up a large bill).
Last night I slept on a new matress but hadn't taken the time to remove the polythene packaging. I slipped and slid around in a crinkly scrunching sounding bed all night.
And as my usb guitar amp circuits have hit a brick wall, I treated myself to a new Magnusson 14" Toolbox saw (almost a week ago) intending to work on the amplifier box. That too is still in it's wrapper.
Mmm... maybe not so trivial a dream after all.

Riiiight?
Arrgh about the internet allowance thing... I have tried daring such things before.
("you save soooo much if you don't go over your allowance, though!")
I'm guessing the allowance is in MB/GB rather than minutes?
Frustrations add up...
I often feel "stuck" - like I can't even do one thing because of the five other things right in front of me glaring at me.
I had a weird dream 1-3 nights ago, and I think I remember there being a moment that I was like, "What, so-and-so made a Kathrine Anne Porter thread? I must go find it!"
I have a collection of her stories out of the library, and I haven't picked it up in ages...
I've read three full short stories of hers, and there's two stories I started and didn't finish.
Don't remember much else of the dream, I think.
