a) nothing to do with the Fallen Ones. b) has Bel in it, is about Peace, but is somewhat out of character for him. c) As I said above: not about the end of the world (well, at a stretch, maybe).

Xar,
For the P2 contests, all the entrants recieved extra followers. Is that not the case this game?

Yes, it is.

Wait...
I thought you said the chance at the prize was motivation enough to enter?
...of course the threat of possibly having a terrible Turn if I don't enter is what motivates me...
*confused again*
So, we
are getting follower growth upon entry?

I am confused as well, O-Gon-Cho.
Yes, we get a boost in followers for entering?

Heh. Yeah: "it is" as an affirmation of Calais' "is it not", or "it is" as a contradiction of the same?
("Is it (not the case)" vs "is it not (the case)"--ambiguity in the English language? Who would have guessed.)
In other news, I've settled on an ending for the parable that makes it fit a little more than I thought it would, so I'm submitting it for the contest after all. I'll let people work out for themselves how it relates to the end of the world.

Ever since the first contest in P2, all contestants receive a small number of followers. The top three receive a much larger amount, of course.

Thanks for the english lesson.
If we get a small amount of followers, then I must have received a very small amount considering I only went up about 50 followers this round.

Obviously, that small gain could be easily offset by a loss during turn processing

Liked that parable, Murrin. And I think I got the 'end of the world' element to it. Made me feel nostalgiac for my Honours thesis.

Personally, I
love it Fist.
Azver wrote:"Nothing," Tesh shrugged. "It just reminded me of folktales about a creature called the phoenix. It is consumed by fire, but arises again from its own ashes."
"Yes," Zephyr nodded. "The Universal Tree."
"What do you mean? The phoenix nests in the Universal Tree, or... something?"
"Ah, no. The phoenix is the Universal Tree."
"What?!?"
"Yes. Remember what I said about different viewpoints?"
"Yes. But..."
"In fact, back when there were deities on Eiran, in the time of my parents, there was a goddess whose father was the Universal Tree, which she saw as a phoenix."
"Which goddess was that?" Tesh asked, excited.
"Well, her name was..." and Zephyr told a story long into the night.
...starting to get a big head here, between Zephyr and Brid...
...thanks

I submitted my entry. It is not very well written. I could have written a novel on just that but I think the shorter it is, the easier it is to read.
I had very few original ideas so please forgive me.
