Yes, I was speaking to Drew. I think the tralier for TLTWATW movie looks terrific.

Currently working through The Strange Adventures of Ranger Girl by Tim Pratt, and Glass Soup by Jonathan Carroll.

I'll be moving back to Viriconium, of which I was only halfway through the second story when I started Feast.

I just started A Feast for Crows.

I was planning on reading A Storm of Swords first, as it has been FIVE YEARS, but I ordered AFFC through Amazon UK and it arrived two weeks early. I'm about six or seven chapters into it, and am finally remembering what the heck happened in the last book.

Thankfully A Dance with Dragons is near completion. My fragile mind can't remember everything that Martin introduces over a five year period. WAY too complex.

Just started Feast.

Started Runes again last night.

Put down A Feast for Crows after about 100 pages. I don't recall enough of the earlier books to get a full appreciation of Feast, and so I've decided to wait until Martin's finished the complete series before picking it up again (and yes I have that much willpower!).

So now I've started Memory, Sorrow and Thorn by Williams.

I started A Game of Thrones,got half way thrue it-but it has not grabbed my interest,so I am going to put it down and re-read Runes,starting at the point in the woods behind Haven Farm.I may come back to A Game of Thrones later,so far it just ain't my cup of tea.

thanks Dragonlily, but I think I'll have a true Feast once Martin's fniished the series.

LEGACIES by L. E. Modesitt, jr.

The pace could well be a factor for some readers not accustomed to the author's style. Otherwise, Legacies is a solid introduction to what could be a very good series. I remember saying the same about The Magic of Recluce. . .

Fantasy fans looking for something different should add this one to their "books to read" pile.

Started "Cryptonomicon" by Neal Stephenson last night. Looking forward to getting into it now that I've read The Baroque Cycle.

About to start a re-read of Dune. Having installed a new drive in my PC, I was going through my games, and got an urge to play Emperor, Battle for Dune.

Hearing the little Fedyakin cry out "Long Live The Fighters of Maud'Dib" made me decide to re-read it. Fantastic book.

I picked up Crystal City, but couldn't rememb3er enough of that series, so I'm rereading Seventh Son right now.

I'm nearing the end of A Game of Thrones. Probably about 70 pages left or so.

Sunbaneglasses...I have to disagree with you on this book. This is the first new fantasy that I have read in many many years, and I have been unable to put the book down. I do my reading on my lunch hour, and it is killing me that I can't get no further than a couple of chapters a day.

The way that Martin ends each chapter from each characters POV just teases the reader so much. It's like every chapter is a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read through the other POVs just to get back to the POV that just ended.

It probably took me at least 200 pages to finally identify with all of the characters and factions, that was a bit hard to follow at first. But once the storyline was set and the plot started rolling along, it has been nearly impossible to put the book down.

I just got the new Dune supplement (The Road to Dune) for the flight home this Saturday (I'm in Australia on buisness, and I'm flying back to IL/IN).

jelerak - I agree with you. When i first read AGoT, I thought it was the best fantasy I'd read since early Jordan.
