Haha! I like that perspective.

You have a stuffed Shaun?

I want one.

So cute!
Yes, he's the same stuffed Shaun playing the geetar in my profile pic, except I notice his wool was whiter then!
And I totally recommend investing in a stuffed Shaun. Every household should have one

Here's where I admit I have 2 stuffed Shaun's for the kids - one plays the theme tune (actually that's Timmy - mere technicality), and the other baaa's.

My thoughts exactly.

Never mind the kids, I want one for me.

Well, the kids get to borrow them once in a while...

With no working cameras, I've been using Instagram on my iPad. It's a neat app. Having fun with it.

I "fixed" my Minolta! Whoo!

We'll find out if I actually did fix her when I develop the film!

Whoo!

lovely pics! remind me of autumn for some reason.

my camera on my phone no longer works all the time. i take the pic but most of the pics have a grey bar through them when i email the pics to myself.

i know they weren't award winning pics, but i got some good stuff at times.

especially my light pictures. the sun, the moon, street lamps, etc...

Thanks sarge. It is Autumn here at the moment, so there's your 'for some reason', that and the Autumn leaves under the deceased footwear :P
Re: your problem with your camera phone. You're not taking the photos at work at the prison are you? That could explain the grey bar... :haha: .. no but really, I'd love to be able to diagnose your phone's problem but I'm an oldskool brick girl, aka no camera on my phone. Hope you fix or replace yours soon, sucks having good pics ruined.

What a lovely neighborhood, Shaun! When I look out my window, I have a spectacular view of the Shirlington interchange on I-395. Zero pics will be forthcoming.....

Um... in this shot, it looks a little bit green from above? :P
(Sorry it's so big. I tried many times to resize it, but photobucket defeated me.)

If it's any consolation, my photography, like my writing, is all about omission. (I left out the housing commission buildings to the left of the creek, discarded prams, rubbish, pond scum and ugly buildings ). Also, though things are improving down where I live, I trade culture for the pretty. (Aka, good luck finding independent cinemas, bookshops, etc! It's okay further North, but I'm not a lawyer so I don't live further North.)

Hey, nice job, Shaun! You actually snagged part of my apartment building! It's the curved one in the lower left corner, just above where the map says "31st St S."

Since we're posting beach pictures, here's a shot (NOT taken by me!) of the lighthouse in my hometown. The distant grayish buildings on the horizon are in Chicago.
Image

It used to be too hazy, generally, to see Chicago from Michigan City. But then most of the steel mills near Gary shut down....

That's great to hear. I spent hours hanging perilously out of the helicopter to take that shot, glad I caught you in my lens net!

Cool shot btw and thanks for the geography lesson (re: Michigan City's proximity to Chicago.) I'm currently finishing a Chicago skyline jigsaw puzzle. :D

[*Checks google maps*] That's weird. So Michigan city is actually in the state of Indiana, not Michigan?

Entering "Dino Park"

He followed me home, can I keep him?

The park features the longest trail of Iguanodon footmarks ever found.

The Heathledgerosaurus.

The Vadress ain't need no puppies or kittens. Anything smaller than a Triceratops will stand no chance.

... and then we started a-kissin' like this ...

The new grill is almost finished. It still needs some kind of doors and L-sections to hold the the custom made grill rack (30x24 inch, highest quality stainless stell). There also will be a metal lbasket for the coal. For the first test today we used a simple baking tray and rested the rack on bricks.

Image
And the wurst was still to come ...

The Vader 2012 in the bathroom at a mate's party. We used it as a dressing room and I'm just about to grab my guitar, go out and say "Hello, I'm almost Cash" to kick off my annual Johnny Cash tribute show. Ignore the finger - I'm just telling the drummer that the 3rd song will be Wreck of the Old 97.

Yeah. Indiana and Michigan fought for some years over that 30-ish-mile-long strip of lakefront that starts at the Illinois state line, but in the end Indiana won. Believe me, you're not the only one who has been confused by it.

Glad you didn't "drop in" while getting that shot of Shirlington, btw. Altho it would have been nice to see you!

Hmm the landscape looks mountainous towards the horizon. Are they of the actual sort or merely mundane hills masquerading as such? I have an odd fixation with mountains, possibly because we possess none here. And then only those miscellaneous fells in Lapland.

Lovely pictures. :D

PS. the last bugger's definitely a Thread Shoe. From the Apologies to Avatar "discussion".
