Haven't got time for an xray. Should I make time? Anyone got experience with this? I'm assuming all they'll do is tape him to his neighbor.
Better to get that sorted ASAP!
Around 10yrs ago I had an accident rushing to leave the house for work. It was too important not to be there that day. I never believed it was broken. My toe didn't knit together properly, and now has an odd looking lump.

Today was our annual customer appreciation day. Like every other year, Luau themed. I feel like dancing.

Asleep at 2:30am last night. Helldog asleep in the room with me. All of a sudden the bedroom door crashes open and a man is standing in the hall to my bedroom. Its dark and all I can see is a man. Then the man sees me. Clearly he did not think I was home. All at once he starts screaming at me. It's the lunatic fosterson, Elijah. He starts coming toward the bed screaming at me calling me a f - - king c - - t (you get the drift). I am alone in the house. Mya/helldog goes bullshit. He goes running down the stairs but stops at the bottom and starts coming back. So I let loose helldog and she starts to chase him off the property. He runs then stands outside my house screaming obscenities and threats at me. He's drunk and violent. I call the police. They came in about one minute and catch him running down the street. He is in county lockup now, arrested on burglary and assault. I am a wreck. I am scared. He is crazy. I got a temporary order of protection. I always, for the last 11 years, feared he had the potential to attack me when I was asleep.

I was de-compensating fast last night. That invasion brought all kinds of stuff in my head. Thank God SD was awake last night to talk to.

Sorry for your and BGB's loss Jenn. Hope everyone heals and becomes very happy.

I've been out of touch for a while taking care of three kids (two on an emergency basis) I had elective knee surgery two Wednesdays ago and got out of the hospital yesterday after being there two days after complications from my surgery. Actually, I tried to drive Sunday and smashed my kneecap and scar into my lower dash and it swelled to the point where I couldn't stand it anymore, let alone walk. They checked me out for blot clots and infection and am now REALLY enjoying being home. I know my dissection is due, but it's not good for me to spend prolonged time at the comp when I should be icing, massaging, exercising, elevating and allowing my knee to recover.

So I'll pop on and off but it may take me till Tuesday to get my chapter up, so please bare with me.

Hope everybody heals as well and has a great weekend. Grace says hi to everyone! 8)

That's awful, Lorin. Glad you're okay and have a responsive police department - back when I was having issues with my neighbors they would take forever to show up. Hope they lock him up and throw away the key, 'cause restraining orders aren't worth the paper they're printed on.

thanks Sorus. I guess there are some benefits to living in a one mile square town.

I am just going to write because I can't calm down. My neighbor who is a nurse came and told me my pressure is too high and heart rate is high. So I am just writing. It has flashed me back to the past stuff. The police just called and told me he is going to stay locked up at least for a few days. His bail is 5000 with no reduction. I doubt he can make it. but his crazy family worries me too. His mother has psychotic disorder and paranoia. I dont want to leave the house because then it is a problem coming home. Took some zanax the nurse gave me. I cant tell you how scared I was. He went in the kitchen and I thought he was going to take a knife. But the dog freaked him and he left. I am sorry you guys, it is lonely here.

Glad to hear they nabbed Elijah and locked him up. You have GOT to move away from there to somewhere that cannot be found by these ungrateful people you keep trying to help. Your move next month is a start, but not soon enough and not far enough away.

That house across the street from danlo sounds better all the time. Look into what the prospects are for useful and lucrative work there! Or in some of the other places we have discussed you going...

I know you want to stay with your current job four more years to grab a brass ring retirement. We have many times discussed whether it is worth what it is doing to your quality of life and your sanity...but that is no longer the point. Elijah, his mother, the other foster kids, and all the random crazies are more than a threat to your well-being; they are a threat to your safety, to your very life. As you said in another thread, you need to GO NOW.

Yeah, you need to get the hell out of there ASAP. That's what everyone told me, and I really, really wish I had. The crazy ones always get off easy - most my neighbor ever got was two weeks, and that was after he was declared a danger to himself and others and the police raided his apartment and took away all his guns. He's not gonna learn, he's not gonna leave you alone. You can't reason with someone like that. I know you already know all that, but sometimes it helps to hear it again.

Man, Lorin, that's terrible. I concur with SD and others: get the fuck out of Dodge.

Just to add yet another voice:

Lorin, it sounds like you are really in danger. Whatever your job is or what your history is with this foster son and his mother, your life can't be worth whatever you are holding out for.

Put all of that in the rear-view mirror and find a new life. It sounds like you have friends who will help. Asking for help when you need it is no disgrace.
Focus on where you are going and why.
Never lose awareness of how far down "down" is...but don't obsess about it.

lorin, you've complained about helldog, yet she was there when you needed her. In her own way, she's a gem, if you're dealing with that kind of crowd.

It's easy to say get the hell out of there. And there appears to be other reasons that you should. But first make sure that you have something else lined up if you take a job that would allow you to live by Danlo.

I'm not saying, but saying. ;)

you are all right and I need to hear it from you. I have to move. I have movers coming the first week in august to my rental. it's time to let go and give up on trying to save the world. It's not enough but it is a start. My exfiance is going with me to court in two weeks so I can get a permanent order of protection.

You know, I kid around about her, but I wouldn't give her up for the world. She is nutty.......but so is her owner. :D She makes me feel safer.

thank you all for your support.

Damn Lorin, that's horrible. Sending calming waves of Jenn love, mental hugs and support your way. Smootch and give extra ear scritches to Helldog for both Moose and myself.

I'm tired. Had a long week at work. Lots of good fun moments though. Had some interesting conversations with customers and co-workers and got a lot of stuff done. Had fun bonding with Ashlee my manager. We had some fun girl giggle moments and exchanges. Almost all the management team got a "talking to" for something or other except myself and Tony. He and I just got praise. I like that. I'm off tomorrow and have plans for some brunching with Julie, Heatherly and BGB. Should be fun. I do need to do a few loads of laundry at some point in the day though.... Ah well. Orlion, Rigel... feel like flying to SF to do my laundry? I promise to make it worth your while....
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

lorin, may Helldog, your neighbors, the local authorities, and most importantly The All protect you and keep you safe until you move and have whatever protection is provided by that permanent restraining order.

Buy an airhorn or some other hyper-loud noisemaker, kep it within bedside reach, and let everyone who lives around you know what it will mean if you sound it.

I have been a broken record for a long time about getting away from everything in your present life. The move you have next month will hopefully hide you from all the former foster kids (et al), but that is just the beginning of the changes you need to make to be safe and happy.

Baby steps are a start, They are good. Just do not think they are enough. Keep going!
