Conan the Buccaneer 4/4

Conan the Savage 4 5 6 7

The savage sword of Conan the Barbarian

The front (large format) covers are old school dynamics.
Had a peek inside a couple of them and the drawings are simply stunning. So good in fact, I think I'll bag and wrap for yuletide.

What is Ben's record for their bouts? Isn't he at 1 - 7 or something like that? Is he ever going to quit trying?

Ah so, he is 1 - 9. Quit tyring? Please. Ben ripped out the "q" section of his dictionary because he doesn't know the meaning of the word "quit".

I don't know; I think it's very heroic of Ben to fight a battle he know's he's probably going to lose. Daredevil is 0-1 against the Hulk, had no business trying to fight him; almost got killed. But there was nobody else there to make the attempt, so DD did his best. To me, that's the definition of a hero; he never quits trying.

I still need sixteen or so, all between 53 and 101, and the Annual and Giant-Size. My favorites as a kid were the Gulacy and Starlin drawn ones; I didn't have any of the later ones back then, but I can see they're good, too.

I haven't seen Chang since I was I kid. Those comics were a fixed favourite. Dr.Strange shared the comic as well.

Marvel must have packaged comics differently for the UK; Dr. Strange and Master of Kung Fu were two separate books here in the US.

Gulacy and Day were both fantastic on MoKF, imo. You wouldn't think anybody could compete with Gulacy, but I enjoy them both equally. Zeck was okay, but not as good.

Moench was the man, though. Amazing to have one writer for 100-ish issues of a comic. It seemed to be a true labor of love.
