"Certainly not. Whatever it is will wait until the morning and be none the worse for it.

Leave now or I will be forced to call for the other guards."

"A truly charming bunch, aren't they?" the rogue asked, shaking his head.

"Well? Shall we vote? Either Roark pushes in the door for us...or we go and get a meal and a bed..."

"If those are the rules of the guild, those are the rules of the guild. We may have more luck at the pub and I daresay that perhaps we may find some merchants there. To the pub then?"

"A wise suggestion, Caamora. I could use a glass of mead, or split a bottle of elven wine, if a place such as this has any..."

"Yes, we need to feed ourselves to keep up our strength and to allow Xavier's hand to heal somewhat, heh. And who knows, we might find out something about our weretiger amongst the talk and gossip."

"mmm... i feel a little bit unwelcomed here... i hope the laugh that come from the taver are afoot of better treatment"

then he looked at Irian

"milady, it seems to be a miner city, i doubt you can find wine here even normale wine... if you can... you have to be satisfied by beer..."

Xavier sighed..."Ah well, three in favour...I suppose I'll agree...I need a full nights rest...still not recovered completely from the damn plant, and now my hand's hurt too.

All right, I'll be the decider...the inn it is."

He turned and examined the inn, preparing to accompany the rest of the party.

"Vargon, I think you should go in front."

"why? do you think i'm a kind of drunker?" he told to Xavier, clearly kidding

"sure my friend, i will open the doors of the inn"

He walked to the tavern.

Xavier laughed, following the imposing looking fighter.

Wrinkling her nose at the thought of yeast and hops, Irian followed her friends. "At least there might be something other than trail rations to eat...I hope."

Thinking to herself with whimsy, if only the legendary dwarrow ale of the world of Eiran from the fantasy tales of my youth truly existed...

You enter the tavern, and there is very little, if any, reaction from the people already inside.

It's quite crowded but there's sufficient space for you to all take a seat close together if you want.

The barman has a friendly face and beckons you all over as you step through the door.

Smiling at the friendly face of the barman, Irian relaxes a little. "Greetings sir. We are fresh off the trail. Be there a water tap somewhere where I can freshen myself before enjoying your hospitality?"

The rogue looked carefully at the other patrons, sizing up their relative abilities, prospects and opportunities...

The barman greets you warmly and offers you a drink.

"You people look like you've been travelling! You must be thirsty! What can I offer you to drink?"

"A mug of ale will do me fine, bartender," Xavier replied. "And I wonder if you could tell us a bit about the merchants guild? They seem a distinctly unfriendly bunch..."

Frowning slightly at her own dishevelment, Irian asks, "Have you any mead or wine? And a bit to eat would be welcome."

Wine for me please, and a bite to eat.

He gets you your respective drinks.

"That'll be 4 copper pieces for the ale, 2 silver pieces each for the wine."

[remove these amounts from your inventory]

"I've got a batch of chicken stew, and I could sort you out some bread for dipping, if you're hungry.

Will you be wanting to stay for the night? We have rooms if you need them. For a modest fee, of course. Don't be starting any trouble in my tavern, I can see you're adventurers, but keep the excitement away from my establishment please!"

Aye, I'll take a room inkeeper, and some of that stew as well. Take a silver for yourslef too, and tell me a little about the merchant's guild.

"Thank you kindly! The merchants' guild runs this little mining town. They're the ones who pay the miners' wages, and they're the ones who reap the profits of the metals they take from the ground. They also keep the place safe. They're not too bad, as rulers go.

The room will be 5 silver and the stew is 1 silver. I'll have the boy fetch the stew and clean up a room for you."

The innkeeper shouts out, and a teenage boy runs out from a back. He gives him a few instructions and he returns in a couple of minutes with a bowl of delicious smelling stew and a hunk of crusty bread."
