Heh. Except for the very broad strokes, I plan on inventing a lot of the history as I go anyway.

Yeah, that's what you said to my mama, too.

Wait... that doesn't sound right...

I had intended to post up opening of the game tonight, but I have decided to stall for a few more days so I can gather some more vital information from players about their characters as I know little about the motivations of some at this stage. Ill go through my list tomorrow and issue PMs to those who I require more information from. Sorry for the delay guys.

I'm fine by that - I have a chapter to finish.

It's a race. Which of you can start a game first?

Dorian's got the head start. Just waiting on a few late-comers I think. My moneys on the Valley over the Expanse.

It's gonna be tricky learning WFRP and RT at the same time... they're similar, but not identical. Hope I don't mix them up.

I was gonna post the start last night (currently 6am)

But then a pretty girl asked me to take her to town and I just got home.

Gonna be up over the next few days. Those expecting updates or emails from me will get them by the end of the week

I would have too, especially since I know I may need an extra week.

The sneaky GM would post something in RT that would get Dorian all sidetracked with that, so he isn't ready with VoB in time.

Not that you win anything, but... bragging rights are worth SOMETHING.

Belated, the game is officially open. Feel free to post your actions and mingle with NPCs or each other. If you wish to join Holtz and the others let me know first, as only a very few are permitted his company at this stage.

Some of you will receive PMs over the next few days with instructions, agendas etc. Also, those who are still waiting on stuff from me, like character sheets, let me know.

If anyone would like to know anything else about their surroundings feel free to ask, or roleplay looking in to it

Excellent. And I get first post in!

Would this be the first time we have set down to camp with the expedition, or is there a set custom we already know?

Also, just how many people are involved in the venture altogther?

Finally, it's only just struck me of the common theme VoB and RT have regarding voyages into the unknown for economic gain...

I haven't decided on a set figure yet, but lets say somewhere between 25 and 50 separated into their distinct groups being miners, Logistics (food, transport etc) security and other smaller tasks.

The miners have been here for several days with some security, and the Logistics people arrived earlier in the day, some arriving the day before. The rest arrived today. It would be considered unsafe to set off into the Bluttenburgs so late in the day so thus the night of leisure. So however long you have been here is up to you, but you would've travelled at least a day with some part of the venture, in your case most likely the security and lord etc

This has actually brought back a wave of nostalgia already. It's funny, but it feels like we were on Mes yesterday.

Mes was awesome. Nuff said

Ill allow the dice rolling this time around, but I would much rather one roleplay their actions rather than turn it into a series of dice roles and explanations. In future if you would rather a dice decide things for your self feel free to do so, but Id rather you just write the description of events accordingly rather than listing the die rolls and how the other player must act. An example would be just being rude to Louis as opposed to the roll results etc.

So by all means let the twists of fate decide how you play the game, but go about it a little differently :)

And Goatkiller, in the period it was not uncommon for girls of 15 years to be married. Depending on nation of origin etc
