Yes indeed, IrrationalSanity! I almost posted the hint that the Care that produces the wine that High King Festten loves is known for being stony. But, upon reflection, I have decided that I won't use that term, again.

Master Barsonage learned that Gereden was full of surprises. One of them came when Barsonage revealed to Gereden Master Eremis' novel suggestion for a way to achieve in-world translation safely. Gereden did not have the reaction he expected. What surprised Barsonage about Gereden's reaction?

Master Barsonage was surprised by because Geraden was shocked that translating a flat mirror into a curved mirror didn't work to explain how people were being translated into Mordant without going mad. With most Imagers, the very idea of translating one mirror into another would be a shock, but Geraden was shocked because it didn't work (the flat glass gets shattered into powder).
