Julie and I met while having a smoke outside. she was shivering so I gave her my jacket. she had this purple dress on.
anyway, house update... nothing. mortgage company went back on some things so we may just give up and wait until we clear some stuff on the credit report. have told the seller, she promises to negotiate. i believe Rome was built in less time than this house is taking.

NEURALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
NETWORKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Heh. Don't mind me. I'm probably going to be a mindless fool until June.
Cail: Ouch. That sucks.
LM: Yeah, go for it. There's this girl at my university that I've seen around a lot on campus, but I've never had the courage to talk to her. She's not in my major, but I think I've shared, like, 3 classes with her over the 6 years that I've been here. (I mean, wow, do you think I had enough chances? Heh.) I think she's an aerospace engineer. But yeah, I'll be graduating and leaving this school in a few months anyway, so I guess there's no point to try now. Heh, sheesh, I suck.
Good luck, LM. And good luck to you too, Sgt.-jay

Loremaster, Jay, Xar......is she ain't interested, just remember it's HER loss, not yours!
Dennis - a friend of mine just went through the mortgage wringer.....they found a house they liked, made an offer, the seller accepted and then they started getting a run-around. This went on for about a month. The friend got fed up, told them to stuff it. She got a phone call 2 hours with everything set up, ready to go and closing in 4 days......perhaps you could give that a try?

Aw.
Edinburgh rejected me (after making me wait about two months longer than every other university I applied to). That's a bit disappointing.
Bristol slash Nottingham, here I come.
So to keep it on topic... I feel disappointed. Except not that disappointed overall (see Concerts thread in Vespers

)

you gotta love kids. just the thought that all that stuff tired him out so he had to take a nap.

he helped us pick a house later that day.
well at the risk of jinx. we can buy Julie's folk's house and land for 20k. if the finance goes through, the modular home people will tear down the house and put up a 3 bed, 2 bath mod house on the site. with an existing well and new septic system (last year) and half an acre, with a chance of buying the lot next to it at some point.

Sarge: I think sometimes they just want to mess with you. During my last foray into home buying, I got a frantic call at work one day from some woman at the mortgage company: "We need another $2000 from you!!" I blinked and said, "I don't have another $2000." She paused for a minute and then said, "Okay. Let me see what I can do," and hung up. Never heard from her again, and we closed on schedule (well, as "on schedule" as these things typically are).
Jay: So what you're telling me is that you have the choice of spending the next few months: a) in a total NEURALLLLLL NETWORKSSSSSSS haze, or b) alleviating the haze, at least a fraction, by approaching a girl who has caught your eye for the past *six years* -- and if she blows you off, you'll be gone in a couple of months anyhow. I'm looking for the downside of choice b) and I'm just not seeing it....
Anyway -- right now I am feeling stuffed. I ate the lunch I brought, then made the mistake of checking the cafeteria menu and found out that they were serving Mediterranean pizza (tomato slices, basil leaves, feta cheese, black olives), which sounded so good that I went up and got one. And *then* somebody said that there was leftover food in a conference room nearby, so I got a lemon bar for dessert. Conference room grazing has made me what I am today....

lets rename this thread sgtnull's house buying adventure. let's see...
my wife was paying an overdue student loan. the debt was sold to another company. they refused payment on the previous terms. so renegotiated and started paying again. now they say it is a garnishment and the mod folks can't give us the loan with this being a garnishment. fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we have a lawyer who will look at the loan and see if he can help. my wife works for the father of a state rep, we may ask him for assist. i am so tired of this...
but the new New Pornographers album is great.
had my grandson all day. he watched the trash being picked up. all three workers said hello and the driver honked the horn, making the boy delerious with excitement. he collected the mail from the postman, that made him happy as well. we played music, my beat up acoustic. i have taught him to strum as i hold it, he really likes it when i use the slide bar (a piece of metal from work) we played the sesame street music played cd rom twice. good day.

Ah, but you see, the downside and problem with choice b is that I'm a loser. Heh.
Plus, it's not like I run into this girl every day. I may see her maybe once or twice a month while I'm walking around on campus. I could start stalking where I think she spends most of her time............but....... nah..... Heh. Seems like too much work and kinda creepy. Heh.
Yeah.... I think all I'll be able to do these last few months is just kill myself over this thesis. My brain doesn't seem capable of much else anyway. I'll fully devote all of my time to hitting on girls after this thing is done. Er............yeah. Sure I will. I mean it. Really. Stop looking at me like that. Um..........(runs). Heh.
Yeah yeah, I'll be more social one of these days, or die trying. Heh.
And sorry to hear about that, Seareach. I kinda feel that way right now. My brain just hurts. Just get some sleep, and you'll feel better tomorrow. Hopefully. That's what I'm going to try to do at least...heh. Good luck.-jay

oh pish pah! you are so NOT a loser. stop it right now.

I know the pain! Let's make a loser thread, eh, Jay? Nah, that'd be too much self-pitying. Then again, this is an age of indulgences.

Maybe someone even
more appropriate!
*ahem*
If you have a fairly good idea when and where you'll see her again while walking around on campus, and, by chance, you happen to have a flower with you...
