Yeah, we've had to double check a few times to make sure the dungeons are set on heroic. :P

On the bright side, we've been able to get just about every achievement available for heroics. The folks who can do Oculus are going to get their drake.

I'm surprised there weren't more post-patch issues, but still really annoying.

Hmm. Just like Naxx, they're completely removing the level 60 version.

Info on the next patch is out, and they have gutted Fan of Knives. Seriously.
Probably the most significant change on the list.

With virtually no changes to Rogues in the last patch, there were rumors in the blogs I look at, that Rogues were likely to be nerfed in the next patch. This confirms it.

Rogues long went without an AoE attack, so Fan of Knives was a great addition. However, I can honestly say it is a bit OP, and it devalues classes like mages who are supposed to have premier AoE.

Of course I would have suggested perhaps a 10% damage reduction, as 30% will be quite noticeable. This will just force rogues to be more selective in using it. I never want to "win" a raids DPS race because of AoE on trash mobs, so in a sense this doesn't bother me. I prefer single target battles where I can work my rotation and maximize my DPS that way. It WILL be missed on boss fights like Kologorn or Sarth where I can lay some AoE to help take down adds, while still focusing auto-attacks on the boss.

This change and more importantly the fact that FoK will "no longer causes Fan of Knives to interrupt spellcasting" seem somewhat aimed at PvP, and that's fine.

Dray had me change one of my specs for that one boss fight in Gundrak, so we better get the achievement done before my FoK can no longer interrupt spells.

I think they should buff other classes' AoE abilities and maybe not hit rogues quite so hard with the nerf bat. Yes, FoK is OP, but Volley used to be OP and the 30% nerf they hit hunters with months ago can still be felt.

Yeah, but Rogues will still do competitive boss damage. Hunters aren't in a great place right now, from what I've heard.

I thought we were supposed to get a buff in the last patch. We didn't. Even the much-anticipated buff to pet survivability was lacking. Yes, even accounting for my cat's penchant for standing in void zones.

So, I spent 2 hours running in circles in BRD and didn't accomplish anything. I am simply not able to navigate in multi-level dungeons.

In frustration I went to make some friends horde-side, but it isn't easy being Scourge. In addition to being silenced and pacified, I get insulted by random mobs in starter zones.

Oh, no. I just realised I'll have to level 1-70 all over again. WTB Dwarf Shaman. Stupid Draenei.

Edit: Jeeeeeeeeves!
Two passes along the lower level of the Library, one round of the upper bit, then started on the lower again and there it was. Robot butler, here I come.

Edit: 110G got. Took a little longer than Jeeves because of respawn timers.
Hardest part of this will be Titansteel.

I'm getting far too caught up in all the next-expac stuff. Anyhow.

Image
In Ulduar, on the way to Algalon, is a globe. This is that globe, turned on its side. The continent on the right is clearly Eastern Kingdoms. The one on the right is Kalimdor (you can see Azshara and Durotar on the northeast part) - with a great big chunk taken out of where The Barrens/Thousand Needles/Desolace is supposed to be. (Notice how the whites sections are snow or desert, think of where Dun Morogh, Winterspring, Tanaris etc are, and you'll see it.)

The less detailed globe in HoL also has a very familiar looking continent with a really messed up middle section.

Now starting to look like both of these were easter eggs pointing at what they were going to do in the next expansion.

Either that or the sea levels have dropped since the Titans built Ulduar. :P
