Thanks and back at you! Mine about represents the total extent of my limited Photoshop skills, however. If you don't mind me asking, who is the blue character in yours?

It's Dr. Manhattan from the Watchmen graphic novel. :) Actually, I'm sure your Photoshop skills are better than mine. I just grabbed that pre-made GIF image off the Watchmen movie website.

A thought: just imagine how many more copies FR would sell if it had a flashing cover...

I wouldn't have bought mine if it had had a flashing cover.

Thank you, Lyr! (And I'll keep on saying thanks here until the Mod gets fed up. Oh...you're the Mod.)

No Flashing Revenant for you, eh? But just think what a marketing coup this would have been. Forget about literary integrity, SRD and his publishers have got to do what it takes to stand out against the immovable mass of Tolkien and the irresistible force of Rowling in the fantasy marketplace.

I wouldn't like a flashing cover book either. [Says meekly:] For the record I was not trying to be flashy with my avatar. I was trying to capture the pale glow of the forest's consciousness that TC experiences in Morinmoss in TPTP. Unfortunately it kinda ended up looking a little too "on-off" once I had created the gif given the understandable limits on avatar file size and given the limits of my graphics abilities, LOL. Oh well, maybe I have a future in marketing! ;)

Anyway, back to the B-Day topic before the ban-stick comes a whompin'. Happy birthdays all! :)

I'm really not all that uptight, Andy! Besides. . . the Admins keep the ban-sitck locked away. . . and mods don't have the key to the safe. :P

Oh, I know. I was just joking (motivated by off-topic guilt, LOL.)

Heck, if we didn't go off-topic here at the Watch, none of the threads would be more than three or four posts long.... ;)

...definitely...

I would have what, maybe 150 posts if I had to stay on topic???
