Thanks and back at you! Mine about represents the total extent of my limited Photoshop skills, however.matrixman wrote:Thanks, Av...and AjK, mighty interesting avatar you have there...
It's Dr. Manhattan from the Watchmen graphic novel.AjK wrote:Thanks and back at you! I wouldn't have bought mine if it had had a flashing cover.matrixman wrote:A thought: just imagine how many more copies FR would sell if it had a flashing cover...
No Flashing Revenant for you, eh? But just think what a marketing coup this would have been. Forget about literary integrity, SRD and his publishers have got to do what it takes to stand out against the immovable mass of Tolkien and the irresistible force of Rowling in the fantasy marketplace.Auleliel wrote:I wouldn't have bought mine if it had had a flashing cover.matrixman wrote:A thought: just imagine how many more copies FR would sell if it had a flashing cover...
I wouldn't like a flashing cover book either. [Says meekly:] For the record I was not trying to be flashy with my avatar. I was trying to capture the pale glow of the forest's consciousness that TC experiences in Morinmoss in TPTP. Unfortunately it kinda ended up looking a little too "on-off" once I had created the gif given the understandable limits on avatar file size and given the limits of my graphics abilities, LOL. Oh well, maybe I have a future in marketing!matrixman wrote:No Flashing Revenant for you, eh? But just think what a marketing coup this would have been. I'm really not all that uptight, Andy! Besides. . . the Admins keep the ban-sitck locked away. . . and mods don't have the key to the safe.AjK wrote:Anyway, back to the B-Day topic before the ban-stick comes a whompin'.
Oh, I know. I was just joking (motivated by off-topic guilt, LOL.)Wyldewode wrote:I'm really not all that uptight, Andy!
