Hehe.
I've definitely re-told Sky's story of the time her husband was lying in the middle of the floor and having his cat drop a huntsman drop a spider on his face.
IRL. especially to my kids.
In unrelated news, one of my closest friends is moving, out of state, likely this week, and I've not really been thinking about it.
RE the news that it was Monday a few days ago-
I've not really told you guys, but Mondays are like my default chill-and-relax day, and weekends are my extra-busy-full-of-challenges days, so I feel like I have a "flipped schedule" from much of the world.

Well, Monday is a chill and relax day for me too, but it's not
supposed to be.

My favorite thing Douglas Adams ever wrote. Y'know, as long as we are on the topic of poisonous creatures and Australia.

Ive not read that but very funny
So, youre going to Komodo. Well, I dont know why you want to do that, but I suppose you have your reasons. There are fifteen different types of snakes on Komodo, and half of them are poisonous. The only potentially deadly ones are the Russells viper, the bamboo viper, and the Indian cobra.
The Indian cobra is the fifteenth deadliest snake in the world, and all the other fourteen are here in Australia.
And the money quote

No, I mean is there any venomous creature youre particularly fond of?
He looked out of the window for a moment.
'There was,' he said, 'but she left me'.[/quote]

Haha, Wednesday was a bit of a rough one for me. Tuesday as well actually.
Madly busy at work, but (I hope) past the worst for the moment. 5 weeks to go and then I have about a month of holiday. Can't wait.

The Insequents threw a party, and we weren't invited.

Yeah, probably a bot invasion.
Damn, what a rough few days...Came in to work on Friday and had no net, which means nothing could effectively be done.
Arrived today, and all my monitors (but 1) had stopped working, so spent two hours resolving that, and now clients want stuff tomorrow that they only deserve to have at the end of the week, so I am busy telling them no emphatically.

Good luck. Had my dental yesterday - thankfully no surprises.
Waiting to hear back from the vet on the estimate for one of my cats needing surgery - that's not going to be a fun bill. Have to do it though, she's my baby.

They are our babies and we do what we must for them
We have a great vet here ... which Im very grateful for .. he wont order tests unless he is sure theyre necessary and will result in an outcome.
