Well, I am apparently immortal, and I do live by the idea, if half-joking, I think, that Hate will make me strong.

Every time I stop hating and start loving, bad things happen.

And if I could just hate enough, I'm quite positive I could sing the song that ends the Earth.

*shrug* I've always found hate to be largely self-defeating and pretty much a waste of time. We can debate it if you want to start a thread in the Close though. ;)

Welcome Emotional Leper!

I am not one of the "people here [that] are more than a little bit odd"...

...ok, maybe I'm deluding myself!

Have fun! Be true! :)

I wouldn't say that. It, historically, does not have good connotations.

LOL! Well, I said it...and I meant it. :) I obviously don't see it in quite the same way you do. :)

Someone majourly screwing everything up generally follows that saying. Generally the person doing the screwing is the person it's said to.

I was going to make a joke, but I decided to watch my language.

Then I remembered I was posting on a forum about The Chronicles, et al., and realised I need to stop caring.

:) Well, I certainly didn't mean it like that. My doctrine is "to thine own self be true"...and no guessing who I first heard that from. I believe in it. I would never greet a new watchie intending anything negative. I suppose I should have said "Have fun! Be yourself!" :)

I was being myself. My two role models are Dr. Gregory House and, since I read the Chronicles, Thomas Covenant.

I was trying to make a joke about the fact that I was going to make a joke and then considered the joke to be too (potentially) offensive, and then remembered some of the things that went on in the TCTC books.

I'm using smiley emoticons! I'm trying!!!!!!!!!! It was a greeting...nothing more! Wasn't trying to imply you weren't being yourself! Sorry...ok... :)

Sorry. It's been so long since I've had to communicate in a serious fashion on the Intertubes that I seem to have forgotten that text does not convey a silly, mock-serious, or maudlin tone of voice at all.

I'm sorry if I ... disturbed you. I can't think of a better word right now. It was not my intention. I'll try to be more serious, since my attempts at humour seem serious, so maybe my attempts at seriousness will be so over the top and britishly stiff and campy that they'll do a completely 180 and be funny again. :yeehaa:

It'd be my luck.

All's cool EL! Just didn't "get" the humor coz of the lack of emoticons...but I'm pretty thick when it comes to that type of thing...ask anyone. :)

All is good now! Have fun on the watch! Maybe I should have said that in the beginning! ;)
