The air is still, the stars glitter silently in the night sky, and the people rest fitfully.

Ack!!
I don't like this
at all...
btw, thanks for the advice given so far. Still processing as I drink my first cup of coffee...

And I don't have the free time to work it out.

Tell me about it! Possibly the busiest two weeks of my life!

Hey, if the AllFather is kewl with it, I may not mind giving DRPs to the Creator. It's his alter ego I have problems with...

Pay no attention to the player behind the character!!
The Lord of Chaos and Destruction hides from no one!!
Least of all a gender confused godling!!!

You should hide, Chaos godling. We are more than you. We are the masculine and the feminine. We are tragedy and blessing, sickness and health. We are the cycle and the balance; we are Life and Death. We surpass you in your singularity, and we will not suffer your attacks.

:::bowing head:::
m'lady Jove.
Thank you for the additional details on the character of your follower Aldwin Aquila. I am hopeful I did him, and you, proud in my portrayal of the Hatching through his eyes.
I look forward to having him, and the other Impressed candidates, in weyrling training over the next 12 Turns.

I wonder how a weyrling could be improved. Perhaps O-gon-cho would be willing to send me some eggs, or an adult form for mutation.

:::deep breath:::
m'l-rd Nor Yekith.
All deities were invited to send candidates. I believe you were, uhm, unavailable at the time the open invitation went out. But the invitation was open to your candidates as well. Despite MV's claim that I would give you a hatchling to turn into a Black Dragon, whatever that may be.
When the mating flights come around again, I intend to do the same. However, due to what happened with AK's followers, the invitation will be witheld from them.
But as of now, I have no reason to not allow any of your followers to come stand on the sands of the Hatchings Grounds next year, if you desire to send any. And you can always follow up with Melirelle on how successful her four followers who Impressed are with their beloveds.

Many thanks, lady of dragons.
No doubt Melirelle will give me samples of dragon flesh that I can digest. In that way, I can instruct the womb-pits to birth dragons. Instead of the lengthy mating procedures associated with the animals, I can manufacture the great beings from the flesh I feed into the wombs.

Don't worry about the rider problem. It's rather easy to distort the skull and brain to adjust behaviours. That's how my cult re-educates rebels. It simply makes things more efficient. Same with the dragons.
As for the sampling, well, all I need is some skin. How hard would that be? Or could you send me a dead dragon?

Ooops, I edited as I posted under the wrong account.
I am sorry, m'l-rd, but my instinctive reaction to that is :::shudder:::
I will try to restrain it as I hope to gain understanding of your idea of beauty.
Please keep in mind the newly hatched are committed to three years of weyrling training, along with their Impressed Rider. This includes Melirelle's candidates. And the Dragon/Rider telepathic connection is everything to these new pairs right now. Even Melirelle may find it difficult to find one among her new Riders who will be willing to take that sample of flesh from their newly beloved.
