Depeche Mode
Blasphemous Rumours

Girl of sixteen, whole life ahead of her
Slashed her wrists, bored with life
Didn't succeed, thank the Lord
For small mercies

Fighting back the tears, mother reads the note again
Sixteen candles burn in her mind
She takes the blame, it's always the same
She goes down on her knees and prays

I don't want to start any blasphemous rumours
But I think that God's got a sick sense of humor
And when I die I expect to find Him laughing

Girl of eighteen, fell in love with everything
Found new life in Jesus Christ
Hit by a car, ended up
On a life support machine

Summer's day, as she passed away
Birds were singing in the summer sky
Then came the rain, and once again
A tear fell from her mother's eye

I don't want to start any blasphemous rumours
But I think that God's got a sick sense of humor
And when I die I expect to find Him laughing

Ssss....

For anyone interested, there's a torrent of all of the Sisters of Mercy albums and 16 of their concerts available on Mininova.

I've never used mininova. Do you know if it works the same as Limewire? Limewire can be a little frustrating sometimes.

There's a description of it here. There's a ton of really cool stuff available.

Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart

When routine bites hard and ambitions are low
and resentment
rides high but emotions won't grow
And we're
changing our ways, taking different roads
Then love,
love will tear us apart again
Love, love will tear us apart
again
Why is the bedroom so cold? You've turned
away on your side
Is my timing that flawed? Our respect
runs so dry
Yet there's still this appeal that
we've kept through our lives
But love, love will
tearus apart again
Love, love will tear us apart again
You cry out in your sleep, all my failings exposed
And there's tast in my mouth as desperation takes hold
Just that something so good just can't function no
more
But love, love wil tear us apart again
Love, love will tear us apart again
Love, love will tear
us apart again
Love, love will tear us apart again

Heehee! Saw New Order at Electric Picnic last Sunday and they played Love Will Tear Us Apart! Was a fantastic highlight to a so-so set! Ten thousand odd throats singing along was very cool!

Cool stuff!! I never saw New Order live, I'm sure it was a great show.

btw Right after your new order video, Daft Punk was the next video on Youtube. I like some of their songs; it just seemed odd that a couple of djs were playing live at some music festival!

Siouxsie Sioux & the Banshees - Christine

She tries not to shatter, kaleidoscope style
Personality changes behind her red smile
Every new problem brings a stranger inside
Helplessly forcing one more new disguise

Christine - the strawberry girl
Christine - banana split lady

Singing sweet savages lost in our world T
his big-eyed girl sees her faces unfurl
Now she's in purple
Now she's the turtle

disintegrating...

Christine - the strawberry girl
Christine - banana split lady
22 faces...disintegrating.

Nick Cave--She Fell Away

Once she lay open like a road
Carbed apart the madness that I stumbled from
But she fell away
She fell away
Shed me like a skin
She fell away
Left me holding everything

Once the road lay open like a girl
And we drank and laughed and threw the bottle over
But she fell away
She fell away
I did not see the cracks form
As I knelt to pray
I did not see the crevice yawn, no

Sometimes
At night I feel the end it is at hand
My pistol going crazy in my hand
For she fell away
O she fell away
Walked me th the brink
The fell away
I did not see her fall
To better days
Sometimes I wonder was she ever there at all
She fell away
She fell away
She fell away
