Those covers look like re-creations of the original. Especially 49, which doesn't have the price on it.

It's come out so sporadically (sp??) that I can't give any specifics. Ross art, which is always great. (Kingdom Come!!!) The final issue, 12, just came out, so maybe I'll read it all straight through now, so I have a better idea. But basically, I think it's another the-bad-guys-appear-to-kill-the-heroes-and-take-over-the-world-only-to-be-beaten-by-the-*gasp*-still-living-heroes story.
